Pick your All-Star reserves

Well now that the starters are officially selected (I can go on a rant about how much I hate fan voting, but I won't) I was wondering who everyone would choose to round out the rosters. Edit: just checked how they do this, 3 front court, 2 backcourt, 2 wildcard. Here's what I got:

East: Starters- Kyle Lowry, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Paul George

G1: John Wall- no brainer here. Averaging almost 20/10 and doing everything he can to carry the Wizards

G2: Demar DeRozan- another easy one. Having a career year and is huge part of the reason Toronto has moved to the 2 seed.

F1: Andre Drummond- probably the biggest all-star snub in my opinion. A walking 20-20 threat all year and making the case for best center in the league (if only he could hit some FT's) He needs to be here

F2: Paul Millsap- Hawks always fly under the radar, and this guy has been quietly consistent. 18 and 9 with 2 steals and a block and a half. Definitely deserves to be here as one of the top big men in the east.

F3:Chris Bosh- really settled in as the #2 option in Miami. 19-8 and shooting the ball very well. Still definitely an elite player.

WC1: Jimmy Butler- a guy I really wanted to see voted in. The unquestioned leader on Chicago now seems to keep getting better, and has established himself as one of the best two way players in the league.

W2: Isaiah Thomas- as much as I've tried I can't take off the green-tinted glasses that have been stuck to my head since birth. In all seriousness though, he's averaging close to 22-7 and is the only consistent scorer on what could be a playoff team out East. He's not a model of efficiency but he gives it his all and has really become a go to guy even at 5'9.


Honorable Mention: Pau Gasol, Reggie Jackson, Al Horford, Brook Lopez, Kemba Walker, Kevin Love, Greg Monroe


West Starters: Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kobe Bryant

G1: James Harden- coming off an MVP caliber season and still putting up MVP caliber stats on a team that's in a bit of a state of flux right now. Can't put any of the fault on him though (I'm looking at you Dwight)

G2: Chris Paul- Leading the Clippers very well in Blake's absence, still deserving of a spot on this list.

F1: Anthony Davis- clearly one of the major snubs, easily could be the best power forward in the league right now. 23-10-2.4 blocks and he's still not even 23 years old.

F2: Draymond Green- is he living up to that contract or what? A triple double threat every night, shooting great percentages, and an elite defender

F3: DeMarcus Cousins- please come to Boston. Best center in the league averaging 26 ppg I don't think I need to justify this one

W1:Damian Lillard- having a career year (also lost his whole starting lineup) he's without a doubt one of the elite guards in the game.

W2: Lamarcus Aldridge- it would be a crime not to have a second spur on this list. Not putting up the numbers he did in Portland obviously, but has still been as efficient and reliable while adjusting to a completely different role.


Honorable Mention: Blake Griffin (would take Dirks spot if healthy) Klay Thompson, Dirk Nowitzki, DeAndre Jordan, Brandon Knight, CJ McCollum, Gordon Hayward

I don't think Gasol really deserves to make it. He is pretty weak defensively and the Bulls have had a really disappointing first half. Hard to see them getting two all-stars. I am not sure who replaces him though, maybe Lopez, but tough with the teams record.

In the west I don't think there is any way Thompson does not make the team. Teams with a historic win pace will get extra all stars if anyone is even in the ballpark (see bj armstrong).

Davis.  Good numbers on a bottom-feeding team.  Warriors are a good team, to say the least.  Give me Klay.  Davis could be an MVP one day, or he could be another Kevin Love.  That remains to be seen.  From what I recall of him as the starting center on team USA, Cousins off the bench was BY FAR the better player, and it wasn't even close.
