This is probably gonna be a quite deadline, thanks to the new cap.  This silence isn't too surprising

I think there are a couple of reasons for this. The raising sallary cap will make draftpicks more valuable, because you can get rotation players for cheap which allows you to spend tons of money for the stars. Teams are therefore more cautious about giving up on picks which are usually assets included in a trade. Players are also going to look for a big payday, which means trading for Players who will become RFA or UFA or have a player option is less attractive because there is a smaller chance on keeping that player on a decent contract going forward. In addition, I think a lot of teams do realise that lateral moves will not make them beat the Warriors/Spurs/Cavs or help them outtank Philly.

The biggest thing is hoping that the Knicks outbid the Nets on Mike Conley.  Otherwise I haven't heard anything that sounds like it's realistic

I agree with the above, don't expect much to happen at the deadline.

Probably somebody finally trades for Markieff Morris and Ryan Anderson, and maybe a handful of smaller, less consequential moves e.g. Boston trading David Lee to Portland to save the Blazers some $$.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I am 100% with you. I love me some rumors.

Everyone is saying the deadline will be quiet but I'll believe it when I see it. That being said I expect the off-season trade market to be wild
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

That has interesting implications for Sully.

I read that crowder and IT will be available in the right trade.

Coming out of All-Star weekend it starts moving. I was actually surprised by the rumors and deals done already. This may turn out to be an interesting deadline.

Of course they will be, it's just that price is very high.

It's my understanding that the salary floor could be met by the Blazers by spreading whatever shortfall there is among their own players. So they have no incentive to take on David Lee unless picks are included.
