If no real stars are put on the trading block this deadline, we are kind of in trouble. Sure long term we are good but, if we want to be a top team in the next few years, we need to trade for a star now, sign one as a FA(but everyone will have space) or have one of our current players become a true star. So..

If the Kings arn't looking to trade, DMC, why not make a really strong offer? I'm not sure what a good offer would be if he demanded a trade, so I don't know what it would be to get him if they don't really want to trade him. But we probably have the assets to make an offer they at least would have to really think about.

So what could that offer be? The Kings are current;y in 9th seed in the west and don't own their own 2016 pick, so they are not going to try to tank. Those nets picks would still be valuble to them but they also want to do well now. Would Lee and 3 nets picks be enough? i don't know. What else would they want?

I'm all for trading our BKN 2016 pick, because I think it will not be in top 3...but only for the right price and for the right player. We don't know what players will be at the disposal, but I guess that DA it's not going to overreact and panic..scratch that, I am sure he will not, so if the right deal comes along then yes, do it before the deadline. If not, keep it, wait for the season to unfold and try to trade it before the draft. If not, well, we can take someone at the draft because that pick will be in top 6....

Well yeah, they easy answer is Danny will make thw right move. But then what is the point of speculating on things? Also no guarantee the pick will be top 6.

Did you seriously wake up this morning and think: "CelticsBlog needs another Cousins thread"?

Danny Ainge will not trade the 2016 Nets pick BEFORE he knows where it's gonna land---!

TP. I like that idea. Maybe we can do that AND pry KAT away from minny. Front court of the future right there.

A few years ago people would have laughed at this statement....except it is so true it hurts. The one draft we needed to actually be in "play" and we make the playoffs and get swept......It's Ainge's fault.

how about we offer IT AB Crowder Sully/KO etc for Jabari and Myles Turner and etc. maybe Henson and 2017 picks. We develop Mickey RJ Young Myles Smart etc.

Then on draft we would have a top ten of our own and the Nets pick.

Then we trade all of that for Cousins!

Getting thomas was a shrwed move by Danny. We would not have a top pick. All the team in there did not have our slot. Those playoff games we learned and will grow from it. Cousins will not go at the deadline. There owner wants the playoffs. Maybe next year they blow it up at trade deadline. If Rondo signs back with Sac. I think cousins stays and Rondo may only stay there is they say they are keeping Cousins. NY and Brooklyn both will be point guard hungry this summer. Conley will be the only one else out there. Howard is our best option at getting a big man with a sign and trade so he gets the 5th year.

We don't have the pieces to make a godfather offer.  I do not think teams value our players as much as we do here.   The picks have value but only once people know what they are.
