Problem with tough guy approaches is that those who advocate for them think they are always effective.  This is inaccurate.  The consequences for counter-aggression don't always prove "worth it" and it doesn't always stop the victim from their behaviors.  Aggressve action like you suggest probably makes things much worse for Crowder and perhaps doesn't stop the antagonist at all.   Some antogonists actually accept "punishment" as the desired fruit of their passive-aggression.

Washington knew Wittman was way out of line messing with the opponents players during a game .

So he ran off and hid , because the media was going to call him out about what was going on.

It was obvious to everybody , but the refs who were turning their heads the other way.

Wittman should have be thrown out of the game and fined by the NBA .

The thing Crowder should have done, and hopefully did I didnt see the game, is to go out and shut down his opponent. That way he let's his play do his talking. It is ridiculous though that opposing coaches can get away with this stuff.

I he let's Whittman effect his play then Crowder and the Celts have lost that battle. Make opposing teams pay for this crap with your team play. That way they won't be as likely to use it again. When an opposing player gets out of line the entire Celtics team should concentrate on shutting down the other team.
