Good article about the inability of the Bucks to make the pieces work.  Interesting takes on the struggles of Parker and GA.

Writer also speculates that two non lottery Celtic firsts, or Sullinger and a first, could land Monroe.  I'd do that without hesitation.

It's astounding that they would have Jabari Parker defend guys like Paul George and Jimmy Butler.

Parker's been a bit better recently.  Buy low window is closing.

Their main problem is their defense.   Last year Zaza Pachulia anchored their defense.   This year, they have Greg Monroe playing center (not a good defender) and Jabari Parker playing PF (he's not a PF)...

What's working well is Khris Middleton is having an amazing year.  He's looking like a legit go-to option.  But that means Parker isn't being utilized to his maximum potential (he projects as a go-to scorer).

I think they should trade one of those SF's at one point (Middleton, Giannis or Parker).  I wonder if Greg Monroe could play next to a defensive center like Nerlens Noel, because a Jabari for Nerlens swap might make sense for both teams...

Salaries would have to match...David Lee/Dallas Pick/2 2016 2nd round picks for Monroe.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I don't think "a bit better" compensates for the fact that he can't shoot (He hasn't made three all year so far.) and the fact that his defense is..... well he doesn't play defense.

This is true.  It's actually amazing Middleton is shooting so efficiently considering he's literally the only player in that lineup who can shoot from distance.  Nobody else spreads the floor on that team.   My pipe dream was that we'd make a play for Middleton and allow the Bucks to slot Parker into SF, but it almost makes more sense for the Bucks to trade away Parker.

Yeah, a guy who plays no defense and can't shoot threes in today's NBA is basically useless unless they are a great PG/floor general , which he is not.

Strange to hear your scouting reports on Parker, because I recall before he got hurt he looked promising.  Wonder if the knee is still holding him back. Takes a while to fully recover, if ever...

That being said, I'm willing to take a chance on Parker.

interesting that Kidd benched Antetokounmpo, who was also called out for a lack of effort in practice.

With that said, The Greek Freak still has all star potential, no doubt about that. I'd still want him.

I think a Olynyk+Crowder+Our1st For Antetokounmpo+Mayo trade makes sense for both sides. The Bucks stay young, recieve a solid, much needed defensive defensive wing in Crowder, and get a much needed upgrade in their 3 point shooting. Celts get the potential corner stone player they've failed to attain via draft or free agency, while shedding some salary for the offseason.

Didn't work out too well with Drummond. I'm pretty sure towards the end they almost exclusively played Monroe or Drummond, because the numbers showed they were horrible playing together, mostly with Monroe at PF.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.
