I think this team may be broken.

Yep I agree.  You can't go 1-6 with a 5 game losing streak in January and maintain that everything is OK.

Good thing we got the Pacers tomorrow.  :'(

LOL yep - 8pm start to...can't wait to get home after that one.

I would definitely be willing to suck for the rest of the year if we could have a Porzingis.

Even sucking for the rest of the year would by no means guarantee getting a guy like that.

But yeah, I hear you.

Just remember, Knicks fans waited over a decade for a young savior type prospect like that to finally come along.

With any luck, we won't have to wait that long.

Of course not. If we got the number one pick there's no guarantee he'd be as good as the Zinger. He and KAT have proven to be special prospects.

The good news is that we're already guaranteed our own Porzingis in the draft. (By draft position I mean, no guarantee that he'll be as good.)

The question is whether we want to suck for the rest of the season to get our own Myles Turner. It might be as simple as trading away Isaiah Thomas.

I've never been a proponent of tanking. I've always advocated for contending while rebuilding. But I want this organization to commit either to contending or tanking. If we're going to try to win games, while developing the likes of Smart, Crowder, RJ, and Mickey, then we better actually win games. If we're not going to win a lot of games, we might as well lose a lot.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

We're putting Marcus on Porzingis?

I'm as pro-Marcus as they come, but I'm not really seeing how that pans out.

If it gets him aggressive on offense then good

But this just goes to show you how special he is on defense.  How many guards are put on 7-footers with confidence?

I'm more interested to see how it works out rather than optimistic it'll work out well. Although he looks pretty good so far.

Nice boxout from Smart, prevented Zinger from getting the rebound.

I had a friend that was great at defense and would always front big men in the paint. It would drive them nuts.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.

Yeah, it just is probably one of those things that is different that will work for awhile.

If Porzingis added 15 lbs or so Smart would have no chance

As it is, if the Knicks play normally they'll be fine, if Porzingis forces it they'll struggle
I'm bitter.
