Bulls were interested in Rozier with the 22nd pick in the draft but the Celtics rook him at 16.

The Bulls also realize they won't even beat the Cavs going foward. Build the team around Butler and Gasol.

Out Amir, Turner, Smart and Rozier Dallas and Boston 2016 picks.

 In Rose and Dougie Mcdermott.

Rose is not who he used to be but he gives us some star power and is a huge upgrade from Smart. Gives us a year and a half to decide if we want to pay Rose.

Doug gives us an offensive weapon and shooter at SF.

Chicago gets two defensive beasts to pair with Butler, two firsts, and AMir and Turner for this year.

Well it's interesting. I don't know Rose and Doug well enough to really have an opinion here. I'm also not sure about how high to value Smart. He's just back from injury so his value has to be low. From now til the deadline will be a very important time for Smart. can he raise his trade value? I would guess that Ainge and Co. would just want to keep him, but if they for some reason think he is never going to become a star then trading soon might be a good idea assuming he brings his trade value back up.

I'd much rather trade for a star 4 or 5 but if Rose is the only option who knows.

No Rose is a shadow of his former self and will just continue to get hurt. Smart is a better defender as well which makes him the better fit next to IT.

That is way too much to give up for Rose.  Though I do like Rose.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Giving up Smart for current Rose is a huge ripoff... Rose probably doesn't have great trade value it'd be like the Heat giving up Winslow for Sully... Why do it?

Rose is Grant Hill.

It would have been very special in Orlando with him and Tracey.

Id actually rather Dennis Schroeder than D-Rose.

Do you think his stats are a bit inflated on the HAWKS because he has versatile weapons on the floor with him?

No chance I'd give up Smart for Rose.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

No thanks, Rose is a hold your breath and hope he doesn't break every play kind of player!

The fascination with players who are injury prone, on this blog always amazes me.   We don't have a fountain of youth or rejuvenation.

Not in a trillion years would I take Rose for any sum of money.

* He can't play to save his lift
* He can't stay on the court to save his life
* He can't shoot to save his life
* He's utterly selfish and always puts himself above the team
* He's on one of the most stupidly overpriced contacts in the entire NBA
* He's constantly making headlines for all the wrong reasons

Id I were Danny Ainge and Chicago's GM offered me Rose for Marcus Smart, I would immediately drop the the floor and roll around laughing hysterically until the GM leaves the room out of embarrassment.

I wouldn't even give up Lee for Rose, straight up.  Lee can't play but at least he's expiring soon.  Rose would cripple us financially and contributes absolutely nothing.

Too much money for a guy who has been that hurt.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
