If we continue this way we will get  2 lottery pics because we will lose the playoffs.... the way we are losing games at home is unacceptable... i hope we do a trade to improve otherwise i see ainge selling players like turner sully zeller johnson jerebko for more picks... it is obvious that even though there is improvement every year the talent is not enough for title challenge.... if you gather pics you should at least play them to see their value... mickey rozier hunter and young have not played enough

There's no real urgency with this team is how I feel.  They can just sit back and improve each game and see how they do in the playoffs and win or lose it really doesn't matter because they are so young and no one expects them to win anyways.  Even if they don't make the playoffs. I think that would be disapointing though.

Half a season left And Lee and Turner will be gone. The celtics will be out from under their cap  restraints and we will have 2 shiny new draft picks to take their place. People are assuming we are going to use that cap space and we probably will but we can also just let this team develop. That's the most important thing imo where we can develop and resign players and make the appropriate moves when we need to.  Ainge is usually good at planning ahead like that.

All this stuff with Ainge saying quantity for quality is just him saying absolutely nothing while saying absolutely everything.  We'll make the right moves and it will be alright but there is nothing out there right now and we aren't in position to do that either right now.

We are just in a little bad stretch. As long as we play better we will be ok. We still have yet to have things really click and start winning a lot like the end of last year.

I think it would take an injury or trade to make us miss the playoffs. There are a lot of teams close right now and some guys will get hurt and some teams will fall apart. As long as it's not us, that puts un in the playoffs.

lee's contract is going to be near impossible to move.  Does Ainge try to move Turner and Zeller for a piece that might help us make a playoff run shorterm and sacrifice a draft pick? I don't think he does that unless it's the right piece and something more long term.  What is he going to get that's any better than Turner or Zeller?  He could deal Sully or one of our young guys and picks for something real  nice but again it has to be out there and I think all this stuff has been talked about. Why are we moving Sully?  There has to be a reason?  He's our main rebounder.

Trades are really hard to make in the NBA especially when you are trying to develop a team.

I think people underestimate our own players anyways.  Smart and Sully and Bradley and Isaiah and even Amir.  Even KO.  We have to be real careful moving players like that. Even our young guys like Rozier, Rj, Young and mickey.  What are we getting in return that's going to be better?

I tend to think we will end up in the playoffs as well. I'm trying to think of what players on our team would be attractive to contenders really trying to make a run but what do we need from them?  Maybe they have a struggling young player they are willing to part with for a guy like Amir or one of our young guys but again contracts ahve to match up and that player has to exist.

That's how we stole crowder in ways. Isaiah was a similar thing where phoenix was overloaded with pg's and just didn't want him. We basically got Isiah for thornton and a pick. That's absurd.

Amir and a pick might be attractive to someone like that.  Phoenix isn't going to now trade us Bledsoe for Isaiah.  We also aren't gettin ghte top players from the top contending teams. We can offer up our franchise for Anthony Davis and Boogie cousins but not happening.

Our best bet is to try to swap with some of the bottom feeders or teams trying to make a run with struggling young players in bad situations. Or expiring players that teams want something more long term that we would resign.

I'm hoping if we keep up this silly playoff fight maybe league office or karma, either one will make sure the Nets pick ends up one overall. We  fans get no choice in the matter anyways to stress over it.

I'm just praying we get the top pick.

The only trade I've considered is for Ryan Anderson. Trade turner or something and give Smart and Rozier a shot. But it still makes as much sense to just keep turner and give sully and ko another shot and let Smart learn for another year and let turner walk after this year.

I'll still hold out a small hope for Boogie just because I like him, or Milwaulkee or a team like that decides they have too many young studs and want to trade us one for some of our wares to be more team oriented.

It really comes down to the top pick though. If I'm Ainge im doing everything in my power to get Ben Simmons.

Sign Marc Gasol two years from now.  If Sully and KO and our young shooters dont start knocking down shots,  sign someone like Barnes or Anderson.

Don't trade Smart.  Do not trade Smart. Unless we absolutely have to.  We have Rozier but don't trade Smart.

keep looking for better players in the draft and everywhere really.

The key is don't rush into something now just to make it into the second round. If this group can do it great! If they seem destined for another first round exit then perhaps they need a trade to put them in the late lottery. If there is a good long term deal that helps this year then take it.

I like the idea of offering the max to Barnes in the summer, alongside a draft night trade that nets us Cousins or some other elite centre. Then I believe that next year we enter as the 2nd seed in the east with a young squad

At this point Im kind of done with this season. I dont think this team can go any further as presently constructed. And if they cant really shake things up in a good way and get some difference makers here, then they should sell unimportant pieces for the future and dont make the playoffs
