He's the perfect consolation prize at the deadline. Twolves are desperately trying to trade him, as he blocks young players playing time and doesn't help them long term. Also, twolves won't have any 2nd rounders this year and we need to start trading some of our many 2016 2nds. We are projected to have 5, to go along with 3 1sts. The idea:

Boston trades: Jerekbo, Minny 2016 2nd
Minnesota trades: Martin

Martin adds much needed shooting off the bench. His defense can also be covered up by the likes of Smart, AB, Crowder. We could basically put Martin on the worst offensive wing or guard that the other team has and he won't hurt us that much. Plus Jerekbo has been so bad this season, and his playing time could go to Mickey and you could argue that would be an upgrage in itself. What do you guys think?

Are we allowed to trade one of the Minny 2nds before it is absolute certain that it will be two 2nds or do we have to trade the '1st' because it is a protected singular pick right now?

As for the trade, it doesn't really hurt, but it sure doesn't solve the rotation problems.

You know, I've thought about the idea of trading Kevin Martin as something that could make sense.  If we're gonna make the playoffs, why not a couple of those ubiquitous second rounders to give the team some extra firepower?

But to be honest, I'd rather just give more time to Hunter or Young and see if they can make something happen.

We couldn't just trade the Minnie 2nd, but I think we could trade them their first in exchange for the 2017 2nd, which works out the same (but without the chance of it being a first)

We could put a protection on it where if we don't get it, then they get the more favorable of the mavs and grizzlies pick. And as for the rotation, I would much rather watch Martin/Mickey play than Young/Jerekbo.

No, he's not always hurt. Both this year and last year he has been nursing "injuries" because the twolves have been tanking and this year have been trying to trade him.

Seen him play defense?

Neither has anyone else.

Sweet shooter though. Not sure I'd give up anything to pick him up.
