Ugh ...no AB

Here would be a great time for Smart and Hunter to step up.

I think this will be an even game.

Detroit is much improved this year. Also AB's absence will make things difficult for us as Detroit guards are good scorers (Jackson and KCP).

Sully is only big we have with the strength and toughness to hang with Drummond. I expect him to abuse our starting lineup.

We'll see if we employ the same strategy of Brook Lopez, having our wings/guards double/help as soon as he touches the ball.

Will it work? Who knows, but that's probably what they should be doing and will do I'd reckon.

I think Lopez has better IQ and the ability to pass out of the double team much more than Drummond, so one would think it'd work even better against Drummond. From what I've watched of Drummond, he doesn't seem to be a high BBIQ or skilled-type player.

I'm pretty sure we didn't have Smart either of the games we played them this year. I think they'll have a much harder time going off against Smart than Bradley. As physical as Bradley is, Smart is much more physical defensively, and I think that's how you guard these two types of guards in particular, forcing them to jack up jumpshots.

Sure, what you write is correct.

What I had in mind is that this is one of the games where we could Smart and AB in the same lineup.

Spread them out and attack the paint relentlessly.  Drummond is not the best defender and you can weaken his rebounding numbers by forcing him to defend away from the hoop.  Use Amir and Sully to drag him out.

Here we go, can't grab the rebound from the get go. Hopefully that'll stop quick.
