  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
So silky, so smooth. Is shooting like 55% from 3 on a lot of attempts.

Let's pray the Lakers keep winning, that the Jarrett Jack injury helps our pick and the Suns and Nuggets don't get any more injuries.

I would be absolutely ecstatic if we got Brandon Ingram.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I don't watch any college basketball other then prospects highlights, but would he be a better fit for the Celtics than Simmons? we need an SF who can shoot the 3!

Either way it is good to have a few good option at SF at the lottery!

I watch as much Duke basketball as possible and Ingram's play really exploded about four/five games ago if I remember correctly. Feasting on lower-level competition really helped his confidence, unfortunately in addition to the Amile Jefferson injury which has allowed Ingram to play more, especially a the PF spot. Ironically that's the same post Winslow played last year as the season progressed, yet Winslow was more developed physically of course. I doubted Ingram would play the same position despite his height but his offensive production is too strong to dismiss. Similarly his long arms have wreaked havoc within passing lanes lately.

I'd gladly forgo Ben Simmons for a shot at Ingram with the third pick.

I think the Celtics need a real 6'10+ Center in the coming years unless they're willing to heavily feature Zeller in that spot. Otherwise I think a Center via FA, or a more athletic PF that can switch to the Center spot, is a priority this off-season. Similarly, we all know that the Celtics have a glut of PFs now and I think in the coming months it will be time to move Sullinger in favor of rolling into next year with Kelly, Mickey, Amir, and Jerebko (3/4 for him of course) occupying minutes at the PF/C spot in addition to whoever the Celtics may get for a C position (Danny has been in attendance for at least two UConn games this season which makes me wonder whether he's looking at the recently injured 7'0 Amida Brimah).

Anyway, as I said in my post I have watched Duke a lot this year and I think Ingram is the next best-available talent for the Celtics with Simmons off the board. Ingram may not be most team's second choice but I believe he should be outside of Simmons.

I think there is an argument to be made for picking Ingram ahead of Simmons.

IMO the top tier is Simmons and Ingram.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I was really down on this kid based on how he started the season. But my goodness, he's really turned it up.

I have no shame in saying that this kid is already more developed on offense than Greek Freak. His shooting is definitely better, and his decisions to drive on players is just awesome at his age.
Definitely not as athletic as Giannis, but there is such a smoothness and patience to Brandon's game.

Ingram is starting to make this look like a two player draft instead of a one player draft.  Good stuff.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Ingram's shooting (3pt and mid-range) is much better.  Simmons jump shot is poor and he rarely even takes one.  He had an impressive 36pt 14reb game against Vandy.  However his 1st shot was an airball jumper from 10 feet and then the only other jumper he took was a forced 3pt shot before the shot clock expired.  Right now, his scoring predominantly comes from transition baskets and half court drives to the basket.  If he can't get to the basket, he'll pass or use a one handed push shot if he's close enough.  LSU's next game is against Kentucky so that'll be a good test for Simmons.

I don't like him, he pretty much sucks.

(To be clear I'm saying this only because in years past, every time I've started hoping we get someone like this, our pick has fallen too low or the player has risen out of our draft range.)

So yeah. Awful.

NOT INTERESTED AT ALL.

Even though I called it 2 years ago, it sucks having everyone talking about my guy and it gets me scared that we will miss him in the draft. Karl Towns flashbacks all-over again.

I get emotionally invested in these players and then they jump and I have to see them get drafted before our pick........it's very hard and causes conflict with other posters when they call me crazy for "trying to predict the future" and "I'm obsessed with potential"

If we got the 1st or 2nd pick....Ainge would draft a point guard.

Simmons is also 1.3 years older.

if you gave Ingram 1 more year he would clean house in ncaa. Not only would his skills be better but his natural growth would help a ton.

Also Durant had 20lbs on Ingram when Durant went to the combine.....think of that.

The gap between Ben and Brandon is slowly closing. Both are begining to look like franchise alterign talents. Talk about having KD and Bron in the same draft.
