Per 36 minutes he's already a better scorer than Sullinger.

 Per 36 stats

 Sullinger 13 ppg 14 RPG
 Kelly.       17 ppg 7.5 RPG
 Amir.        11 ppg 9 RPG

 Portis.      20.5 ppg 10.6 rpg

Small sample size, but Portis would be playing right now for coach Stevens he is this good. Also shooting .455%from three, and .512% from the field.

The clincher for me on Portis was when I found out just how big he is and that he can play both big positions, legit 6'10" and he can shoot from deep.

Emphasis on the small sample size.

Everyone is talking about Portis but the real tragedy was missing on Myles Turner. We should have been picking at the 11th spot at least, had Ainge waived Bass or Gigi or Jonas at the deadline.

I can see the differance in Turner and his hip/gait problem. But in a year or going into his 3rd season, that should be corrected, and he will be a beast.

Karl Towns showed enough during his jr year of hs for me to write "draft Karl Towns" at the end off all my posts. But I can say with confidence that Myles Turner is forged from the same mold as Karl Towns.

Draft night was a nightmare for me. If not Turner then I could see then picking Portis. I also liked Upshaw but not before those players, I admit that I was not privy to his specific problems, and I did not even care to look into him until we made the playoffs and Dunn, Poelt, and etc withdrew.

I also need to say that I am proud of my coach and his ability to get guys to buy-in. The problem was Ainge and keeping guys on the team that were signing somewhere else or were going to get waived. Bass did a terrific job stepping in for Sully, Jonas had 1-2 games in which he shot the hell out of the 3 and basically won the game, Gigi helped give us depth and also contributed to wins.

It's funny you say that because Bobby's scowl on his face and his angry demeanor reminds me of the real Legend Kevin Garnett.

Portis shoots 50.5 % from the field.  41.7% from the the trey line.

Sully shoots as good from the field goal as Portis does from the three point line.   Portis is a way better shooter at this point.  Sully did shoot 49% his rookie year and we still had KG and PP.  But he has never shot the well from downtown as a rookie he shot  20%.   Four years later he is up to .28%.

i always enjoy looking at that stat, leads like 3 stats all nba per 36 :D.
his per is also at a historic level at nearly 70, double that and then some of Curry.

RJ did say he's going to be special! I'm thinking those numbers are only scratching the surface of what he will become!  MICKEY WILL BE GOAT x10! ;D ;D

It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I think the best description of him is a hybrid of Wilt and Bill in their heyday.

Throw in some Kareem and Olajuwon as well. He's basically the NBA's all time top 10 x 10. Per 36 is great
