Old man Joe Johnson has looked good against us.  He's been terrible all season.

Because every other team makes him go left, but Crowder kept letting him go right.  Turner was just overpowered and he hit some tough shots on him.

This game was much more difficult than it should have been. I don't know if the Nets are better than we think, or the C's are worse.

the Nets have been a talented yet underperforming team for some years now.

still, when they play against us for some reason they go ballistic.

okay, i'll say it again, OUR BIGS play determines our play most of the time. Our bigs were alive in the first half, we whooped them, then they went MIA for stretches, close game.

Our bigs were involved in the first half because our guards were getting them the ball.  In the second half we started running those two high picks up top and IT or Turner went 1 on 4 to the basket.  Our bigs play like the guards let them play.

They're actually not a great matchup for us with their physical and big offensive frontcourt. That's probably our main weakness as a matchup.

And that's what will kill us in the playoffs when the game slows down to a crawl. If we aren't creating turnovers that lead to easy baskets, then it will be difficult. We really need to bring in another three point shooter who also has the ability to create his own shot and can lock down any center in the league...that sounds about right.

That's true and it's also the one thing that I would like to see Crowder improve upon, too. He can score in several different ways, but doesn't create for others as much as I think he could.

I keep saying Lee and Jerebko for Iso-Joe if we can't swing another deal at the end of the trading deadline.

I don't mind that idea. I assume the incentive for BKN is Jerebko flexibility..

Can we blame the guards for every game like that though, it seems to happen in pretty much every game we lose? I get it, we don't have a real PG but you can't expect the guards to keep feeding them if they don't hit the shots. If you notice, we kept letting the bigs shoot up until they stopped hitting the shots. Then we start iso-death-ball.

I thought Sully played better and shot better.   Less will be more with him in terms of performance as he did not get tired playing in stints.   Good to see Amir used more.

Refs were horrible in this one.

Didn't notice honestly. Other than the usual play here and there, I was rarely up in arms in this one.

have to admit I agree.  refs didn't stand out in this game so I consider that a sign of decent officiating

Smart just got like 3 offensive boards too lol... oh and I guess he can't finish at the rim?
That was a 1 outa 15 that shot drops. Was still nice tho.

and you managed to turn it into a negative...
when you gotta pull off a circus shot at the rim to score at the rim, it doesn't impress me.
