Roz has less game than J Young so far. Do we have to discuss further?

I wouldnt trade Rozier for young right now. I personally think Terry could be a Eric Bledsoe style player.  If he had 20+ minutes his rookie year, im sure we would catch a "few" 20 point games. IS kemba a big facilitator? Shooter? Derrick rose couldn't shoot in the beginning either. I personally like him over RJ. so YES!!  we need to discuisss this furhter. Only thing, maybe now is the right time
he looked terrible when given minutes. More raw than J Young.

Exactly how many minutes? 10-13 i n garbage time? Im sure Reggie Jackson would say thats not a gaugable timeframe

EDIT:  I refer To jackson and Bledsoe as I see and hope Rozier wil go from great Back up PG to  a starting role such as they both did

Not all were garbage minutes unless you think Roz played like garbage which he did. Then you could say they were all garbage minutes.

Rozier

 Orlando---- 12:00 3-5, no assist, no TO's
Washington---- 10:21 0-3, 1 assist, 0 TO's (C's won game by 33pt's so im sure was super garbage time)
Indiana-----  16:05  2-9, 1 assist, 0 TO's
Washingon---- 19:22 2-8, 3 Asssist, 0 TO   (+4)

So yes, his shot did struggle in his little sample size.  4 OPPORTUNITIES TO PLAY DOUBLE DIGIT MINUTES!! 4......4.....4

Atleast he actually throwing up shots as Young is just getting the confidence to do so. notice NO turnovers. I dont see anything indicating bus here. JJ REDDICK WAS A BUST HIS FIRST YEAR. Not look at JJ =]

could be rookie jitters but he hasn't shown any readiness yet. And forget the numbers. Just watch him. He is in hurry mode. Lacks poise.

As bad as J Young is, he actually is not rushing through his progressions out there. He's not throwing the offense off.

Youngster is just 21 with loads of talent and you guys are grading him like a finished product.  What's going on here ?  Come on, man.

Stop crying. No one is saying he can't be good. He's just not ready.

If we could find him spot minutes and he didn't wreck the offense, then I would be fine with him playing. Maybe it still happens but he's behind RJ and J Young.

one aspect of this that i think people are missing is that danny ainge was very nearly an MLB player. he knows how baseball works with its minor league system, and he and stevens are both big proponents of using the d-league to develop players.

in other words, just because rozier/mickey etc aren't getting time on the c's doesn't mean they are terrible. it means the team would rather develop them and give their minutes to more established players.

Of course he's not ready.  Just like nobody should be ready to judge the guy as a finished product.  Gimme a break.

No need for the dramatic. No one is saying Roz is D league for life.

  • Peace it's a board. We all will never agree.
Rozier has a  Dennis Schroeder styled game but I actually think Terry's  ceiling is rather high.  The kid is fearless. Imagine KO with his mentality. Maybe im biased because i favor the street ball styled handle he is.
TP. He can get his own shot. Not many can. DA Nailed a good PG. James Young is coming around too. Danny has a second rounder E'Twaun Moore http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/6460/e'twaun-moore Making it in the league too. His only bust is Fab Melo we could have had Green Crowder or Middelton. Danny is a top 10 drafter maybe top 5. Warriors have done Great and so has SA but other than that you can put Danny up with anyone with later picks. AB, Sully, Smart, Mickey and Hunter all are good. We needed a Center in 2012 he reached and learned that is why he pick Rozier he was the best at creating his own shot left and We need a shot creator.
"People look at players, watch them dribble between their legs and they say, 'There's a superstar.'  Well John Havlicek is a superstar, and most of the others are figments of writers' imagination."
--Jerry West, on John Havlicek

what i liked about rozier was the ability to get back up for his own miss, got some real quick hops on 2nd effort-
a long season at least he is paired with mickey
,they allready have good chemistry-

This kid will be good.  No doubt about it.

Good stroke, good handle, very athletic, good defender, and tenacious.

Whether he gets to develop with the Celtics or not...stay tuned.
