I'm fine with holding him out for a quarter due to the flat tire. Stevens is showing that he has rules that apply to everyone, if those rules are broken then there is a punishment.

Don't most nba players have assistants or an entourage. He should have been able to call a friend and have that person change his car while Smart takes an uber.

Hopefully being punished twice for missing shoot around will stick with him and he won't do it again. That being said I can hardly kill him for this issue since I've had problems with being late most of my life.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

This makes me think that a legit star with a diva attitude who thinks he deserves special treatment would be a bad fit under Stevens.

Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Whatever to this.  He's still playing Lee though which is a joke.  Lets criticize him for what he deserves it on.

Marcus had second highest +/- on team with +5 in ten minutes.

Only player with a better +/- was jelly who was +6 in twice the time in the flor meaning we were at our best when Marcus was on the floor.

Even if that's the case, it's a long season in Smart's (hopefully) long career.

I think there have been some bad calls lately in several games by Stevens.  Playing Sully the last five games when was beyond terrible though he shot decent last night.   Playing Lee whom also played decent last night but some nights is horrible.   It seems like he takes out the guy who is hot sometimes and goes with some wacky rotations lately.

I think we do need a trade.

Lee can produce some numbers on the floor but the thing is what he takes away (defense for sure and spacing) plus we still run some of those awful point forward sets for him like he's some amazing passer when we have a couple bigs who are better passers I would say. Then also the fact that other bigs would just be better in those same minutes.  He is making the team worse when he plays.

Stevens has a rep as analytics Jones but he's actually Doc-ish on rotations sometimes playing vets and stuff just because they're vets and that sort of thing.  Lee hasn't earned his minutes and the team plays better when he's not in the rotation.

I get that he would complain.  Like you say we need a trade.  I don't care if he complains though in the mean time, hit the bench and then just give Lee away.

Who cares? Whats done is done. Julius Randle was the correct pick and the Celtics passed him up for a role player. Banks will be on his 5th team by the time Randle makes his fifth all star game. I'm not saying Randle is going to be a HOF but he could certainly be Z-Bo in his prime.

Maybe if you say it enough it will actually come true!

As if getting paid millions to play a game isn't enough, it's got to be the only job where if you show up late they punish you by making you work less.

Same here. I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I don't have a strict clock-in time, because otherwise I don't how I would keep a job!

Did Smart notify the team that he had a flat tire and would be late?

When I saw Young and Lee in the game, I thought, "We are going to lose."

I thought "we are going to lose" long before those two came into the game. Cs missed a lot of open shots in the first quarter, and it was pretty much downhill from there.

Oddly prophetic, given that we were actually up by 8 points when the last of the starters (IT) went to the bench.
