So the quiet trade talk and Crowder love feast part 2 got me thinking why not cash in now. Trade Crowder, AJ and two non Brooklyn picks for Love. The way I see it helps both teams. As we know Love hasn't fit in and LeBron at the 4 while Crowder is at the 3 is perfect for Cavs to match up against Warriors. Also Cavs would be getting two picks and AJ which is future trade ammo for another upgrade. This makes a lot of sense for Cavs. And if anything C's can add a few more picks other than any Brooklyn pick to sweeten deal. But is it even with deal as is too much from Cs? Is Love not the player we once believed he was? I think in the right setting Love is still a top 20 player and he could be that for us. The C's can use a big talent boost. Love and the rest of the Cs may draw a more prime level FA such as Whiteside or dare I say KD to the club. And if anything the draft has 2 very good SF prospects in the 2-5 range in Ingram and Brown for next year. Maybe you use Nets pick for PG instead on draft night, then the 2016-2017 roster would be serious contenders.

Cavs Starters= Irving, Shump, Crowder, LeBron, Moz
Cavs Bench= Dely, Smith, Thompson, AJ.
C's Starter= IT, AB, Turner, Love, KO
C's Bench= Smart, Hunter, Young, JJ, Sully, Zeller

2016 possible team with Nets pick for PG.
IT/Smart
AB/Hunter
PG/Young
Love/Mikey
KO/Zeller

I'm all for bringing Kevin Love to Boston but I would do it without Crowder. He's untouchable along with Smart. The guy didn't forgot to play ball, he would be 20 and 10 guy with us, so I'm voting against your proposal ;)

This is such a ridiculous trade for Love, I don't even know where to begin.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

They literally just did somewhat of the opposite of this deal to obtain Love.  Not sure why they would want to do this after consolidating parts to acquire him.  I think the Love not working in Cleveland thing is very overblown.  The guy is averaging 17 and 11 while not shooting very well and still coming off an injury and playing 33 minutes a night.  Can't really expect him to put up the same numbers on a competitor that he was throwing down as the alpha dog on a lottery bound Minnesota team.  Don't see this really being any different than the Bosh situation in Miami unless you think Bosh was a bad fit there as well?  The perception of Bosh actually really mirrors that of Love.  We thought he was a top 5-6 guy in Toronto, then paired with LeBron his numbers dropped and people put him in the 20-30 range, and post LeBron his numbers went back up and now he is considered somewhere around 12-16 which is likely where he was as a player all along.  I think K Love is still in that 12-16 range.

I'm salivating at the prospects of the defensive wall of Love-Olynyk starting together, with IT and Turner as well.

Ha.  It would be worse than when Nash and Kobe were trying to guard the plethora of young athletic western conference pgs.  Westbrook was foaming at the mouth for those Laker games.

If Lebron would move to the PF position, this idea would make some sense. A lineup of Kyrie, Shump, Crowder, Lebron, and Mozgov would be extremely physical, tough, and defensive, and it would have four decent to good outside shooters to open the lanes up for Lebron and Kyrie. AJ would also be the perfect small-ball five veteran off of the bench, much better than Andy, too.

That being said, we don't have the personnel to make up for the defense we'd be giving up to attain Love, since he's a net negative defensively, too. Thus, I probably wouldn't do it, though it's probably not enough for Love anyways.

I would also remind people you could sign a Whiteside or trade for a defensive big that will compliment Love. We all have to think things in the big picture not just this season. Love is a talent upgrade. C's still have the Nets pick to work with next off season along with free agency. Crowder isn't a 3rd option in an offense. Love is 2nd/3rd option. Even if you can't see past one season just look at the players,
Love> Crowder and AJ. Which is why you throw in the two first(and possible more). It works for Cavs chemistry and matchups. It works for C's that need a better player to help carry the team. It's win win

except the Cavs hang up the phone laughing.  It is a terrible trade for them.

I would hardly consider turning Wiggins into K Love then into Crowder a win.

I wouldn't trade Crowder as I think he is already very good and will get better,

Not if it includes Crowder sorry. Crowder is still getting better. I'm not saying he's the answer at SF, but certainly a part of it.

Lol@ crowder being "untouchable".  You'd need to include the Brooklyn 1st for the cavs to consider it.

I agree. You can't give teams 5 pennies for a nickel and expect them to say yes when they know that you have something like Brooklyn 2016. Even then, is Cleveland in the market to draft a rookie that may need years to develop? I don't see how we are a good fit for a Love trade and don't see why they would trade Love for anything less than a NBA star that could space the floor better than Love can with James plus provide defensive rebounding.
