Suns are a mess. McDonough learned under Danny so we must assume he is very pragmatic and that means he will make some trades for the future (sell some veterans to gather some picks and/or young players) and tank hard to get high pick. In one month the Nets will look like contenders compared to the Suns, so there goes your top 3 pick...

The Suns will have to be just as bad as the nets to get there

My fear is they will be worse...

Without Bledsoe, they're really similar teams.  The main difference is that the star players on the Suns is the PG and on the Nets its a C.  They have really similar stats and everything.

Brandon Knight: 19.8 PPG / 5.2 APG / 3.9 RPG / 1.5 STLPG
Brook Lopez: 19.3 PPG / 8.3 RPG / 2 BLKPG / 0.7 STLPG

They also have washed up older players at the inverse position, with Chandler at the C for Phoenix and Jack at the PG spot for the Nets.  The Suns' up and coming guys like Booker, TJ Warren and Jon Leuer are about as competent than the Nets' guys like Larkin, Ellington and Young.  They're like opposite sides of a coin.

critical info to consider here -- Phx already has more wins -- wouldn't worry about Phx dropping below the Nets until the Nets win a few more games.  also, it's not a stretch to think Lopez misses games at some point this season -- Nets aren't winning anything without him

Or fatigue sets in, judging on how much minutes Hollins is playing the starters.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
They'll still win more games than brooklyn with Brandon Knight, Tucker, Chandler and Morris.

The reason they're sitting Bledsoe is because he's had this injury 3 or 4 times now and I think they're going to consider completely removing the meniscus rather than stitching it up again.

Again, they're still better than Brooklyn.

Its the Nuggets and Blazers we have to worry about concerning the Brooklyn pick.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

They should trade Tyson Chandler and move Alex Len into the starting lineup. They have already lost Bledsoe. They are going to lose Markieff Morris for 50c on the dollar. This is no longer a win-now team. They should trade Tyson Chandler who hasn't helped them much at all ... and give young Alex Len big minutes and the opportunity to show what he can do.

100%. Tyson might be toast though.

To be clear, Bledsoe's prior meniscus injuries were in the other knee.

Who would take him at this point to better their team?
