As poorly as we played and as good as they played, it's ridiculous that we're only down two points.

But that poor stretch was absolutely on Brad. Pis poor lineups out there and trying new things (Young) when we have Smart back or RJ out there. I want to hear the reason Smart didn't get out there sooner and why they took JJ out when we were getting abused by people who they could slow down.

Who's saying no to Marcus for Randle trade after watching Randle?
i think if you were to look at those two guys right now, randle's future as a 20/10 guy is clearer than Smart's future as a star PG.   Randle is already basically a double-double guy as a rookie averaging 12 and 9.5.    Smart has proven to be an elite defensive guard, but nothing more.   Critics still lean on randle having atrocious defense, but that's partially perception at this point.  His defense might be better than Smart's offense.  That said, randle's offensive game is still limited.  He's needs to keep working on his shot.
Do you really think rankle will ever average 20 and 10? I'd be shocked
Sure.  Why wouldn't he ?  His defense might never be good, but he's well on his way to being a z-bo or David Lee.   He's 20 and already averaging 12 and 9.5 in a Kobe-centric offense.
Here is the list of current 20/10 players

Demarcus Cousins
Anthony Davis

That's why I'm skeptical

If he can actually shoot than the smart vs rankle convo completely changes.

He can shoot threes like Amir can shoot threes, i.e. anyone can hit them when they're that wide open.
if you actually watch the lakers games like you claim, you've seen his shot developing.

Developing = .286% on less than one/half of an attempt a game? Sure, that's developing from 0% when he never shot them... Just another example of your positive outlook on other teams versus Boston...

So, Smart needs to play more in the second half...

Nah, what we need is another ten minutes of David Lee
Brad sometimes gets too cute with his rotations. Yeah, the Lakers suck, but if you give them opportunities to abuse bad defensive players, they will do so.

Stevens might be saving Smarts minutes for the second half. He's on a minutes restriction.

The team I just witnessed in the first half is NOT a playoff team, even IF they were in the WEAK WEST:-))

Hopefully that's it, but if Stevens has a weakness in his game, it's experimenting with those stupid rotations and lineups. I heard his minutes were going to be up from the 12 he was allowed last game.

1 point game in Brooklyn, 73-72.  Magic are shooting foul shots right now and could easily take the lead!

Edit: Olidipo just hit a 3, followed by a Bogdanovic dunk.  1 point game Magic and they're at the line again.  It's looking up

I wish a reporter would ask why Brad plays lee anytime at all. If Brad is a numbers guy, why does he insist on playing lee,

That would be worth a reporter getting fired over.  TP

Bradley was out ahead of the pack. Should be clear path.

My guess is that we're seeing Brad The Player Manager trying to keep David Lee from starting Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. in his locker room. Lee isn't like Gerald Wallace. Lee wants to play and he will raise a stink if hes not playing.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier
