Denver might say yes, but Memphis would not.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Your not getting an elite type player without trading the Nets picks. Not going to happen.

I trade em all for Cousins. Cousins is a game changer.
Gallo isn't elite and gasol is in decline. I think we are a little short on gasol and overpaying on Gallo here but I don't think we need the brk pick to get either.

Denver might say yes, but Memphis would not.

Gasol is already 30 and the Grizzlies aren't winning a title any time soon.

But his game is conducive to aging well, he's locked up long term, he's one of the best Centers in the league, and none of the assets we'd be giving up are all that great (although I think there Memphis Pick could end up being really solid).

I think both would help, not sure they would do the trades though.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I'm ok with Crowder as a starter, but if we get Gallinari for cheap I'm for it. Gasol I think would cost too much and he's a win now type of player. Unless we pick up Durant or someone of that level soon, I don't see us needing him.

I'd be more happy with Hayward and Favors.

Utah is not trading their two best players, but let's pretend they would. You have to give up plenty of assets and key young players (they might want Smart, and/or Crowder for example) and so you end up with "Utah East" and not winning any championships. So, no I would not be happy.

This should be Danny's prime target. Gasol is controlled for 5 years. He rolls and pops quickly, if the D sags he is a very decent 20ft shooter, his high post passing instincts are probably peerless. He sets good screens. I don't know his injury history very well, but seems he is OK. I love Amir but Gasol would be, I think, a huge upgrade without  being a cap nightmare.

I hope to hear argument around Amir opting in and targeting an elite wing in the draft or by trade.. but in terms of the whole Butler, Noah, Cousins, Noel, Harris, Middleton, Gallinari, Howard, Hayward, Whiteside, Faried, George level debate... This is our guy.
