According to numberfire who maintain a statistical ranking of all players using proprietary advanced stats, they have PGs ranked as follows:

Curry
Westbrook
Lowry
Parker
I. Thomas
Paul
R. Jackson
P. Mills
K. Walker
Dellavedova

This is based on their nERD stat.  There are probably some other statistical rankings out there (feel free to add).  Parts of this list seem about right, other parts seem off.

What does everyone think?  Where is IT?  Top 5?  Top 10?  What is your metric.

I don't know where to put him but he is definitely a lot higher than I thought he would be.

Dellavedova clearly doesn't deserve to be there. The only reason he has a good season under him is because of the LeBron effect. When he plays without LeBron he's quite... poor to say the least.

I just looked at Sully on that chart and it has 33 people ahead of him at C.   Some of them do not belong above him as well.   So the Dellavedova thing definitely does not surprise me.    That chart is a fantasy basketball device.   Those have some merit for certain but I am skeptical of it after exploring the site.

Not only that, it includes PF in that list... players that occasionally may play a few minutes at Center, but really play the bulk of their minutes at PF, so very hit and miss.

Depends on your criteria for ranking. If it's offense, IT would be up there. If it's defense, not so much. If it's on an overall (e.g. if you were making a team from the ground up and were taking a star PG), then I don't think IT4 would be a top 5 PG.

Not pulling up any stat sheet but if I had to rank how I think the PG rankings will eventually fall this year, it would probably go something like this:
1. Steph
2. Westbrook
3. CP3
4. John Wall
5. Lowry
6. Bledsoe
7. Kyrie
8. Teague
9. Parker
10. Lillard
11. Rondo
12. IT4
13. Reggie Jackson
14. Brandon Knight
15. Kemba Walker

Michael Conley and Deron Williams probably deserve an honorable mention too.

It's tough because we all seen IT do great and then easily get shut down. If I was ranking PGs
1. Curry
2. Westbrook
3. CP3
4. Irving
5. Lowry, Wall, Parker, Lillard (4 way tie)
9. Bledsoe, Conley, Teague, IT4, Knight (Another group tie)

Teague, Parker, and Rondo are not better than Thomas and Jackson. Teague and Parker are most definitely not better than Lillard. Drop those 3 (Teague, Parker, and Rondo) below Thomas, Lillard, and Jackson, and I would agree with this list.

He ranks dead last... wait, what, we're not ranking by height?!

Also, this is a fantasy sports website. Until someone can coherently explain what "ranking by proprietary advanced stats" actually means, I consider their meaningless number completely meaningless.
"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

When everyone is healthy:

Curry
Westbrook
CP3
Irving
Lowry
Wall
Lillard

and then, Reggie Jackson, IT, Brandon Knight and Bledsoe all bunched up right now. I expect those in that group to separate themselves over the next few years (and believe Jackson has the most potential as he is a 20/6/4 player in just his first season as a starter at 25 y/o).

Kemba, Conley, Teague, Parker, Rondo all in the next couple of tiers.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

#5 is a reasonable ranking for IT if you're looking at offense only. Defense is tough to measure with stats.

Factoring in defense, my list would be something like 1. Curry 2. Westbrook 3. Lowry 4. Paul 5. Lillard 6. Irving 7. Wall 8. Parker 9. IT
