Just looked at this move finally. Really poor deal for the Sixers. They gave up a pick in the 30s in each of the next two drafts for a 2016 UFA. This stinks like Colangelo, D'Antoni and Brown desperately trying to add a 'veteran presence'. In other words, Sam Hinkie would never have done this on his own accord.
the sixers spent a few second round picks to improve their team this year and people think this is a mistake for a team who has a total of 2 wins so far this year? these are second round choices, not real, certifiable, guaranteed, high likelihood success, golden assets.
the team is filled with such players as found in the second round NOW and the team stinks.
the likelihood of either second round pick turning out to be as good as ish smith is very low. the odds of those picks turning out to be as good as ish smith next year are next to zero.
philly has assets and is willing to use them.
hinkiesanity is on its way out, thank god.
