Over the last 11 games, here are his numbers: 16 ppg, 6 rpg, 2 apg, 1 bpg, 1 spg on 48% fg, 40% 3fg, and 83% ft.

His midrange game is rolling right now. He is still getting to the rim. The work he put in over the summer on his three point shot is obviously paying off. His defense his still good, but one critique is he is not getting as many steals as early in the season.

Making an average of 7 million a year through 2020. His contract is now rivaling Isaiah Thomas' for best non-rookie contract in the NBA.

I'm starting to think that if we give Stevens enough time with Crowder, Olynyk, Sullinger, Smart, Rozier, Hunter, Young, Zeller, Mickey, and our Brooklyn picks, then we don't need to make any big trades. Patience might be the best thing for us, because patience gives our best asset (Stevens) time to do his thing.

Edit: I guess it's a Brad Stevens appreciation thread too.

Crowder is doing a great job increasing his trade value. I'd if C's will cash it in but it's nice to know he has some value now.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I like Crowder a lot and was very happy when we signed him to such a long term / good value contract this summer. The way the Cavs went at him in the playoffs last year really showed what a PITA he really is to other teams. It's awesome that he improved his three-point shot and seems to be taking a leadership role after such a short time with the team. I wouldn't say the sky's the limit with Crowder, but he is clearly showing improvement and I don't see any reason why he couldn't be a long term starter...we do need a 'star' at some position, though.

He has value to the team, not just trade value.
He is a keeper in mind, he might end up coming of the bench, but still a keeper.
(and i understand that in DA system, no player is safe from a trade)

The way he's played the last few games he's basically invaluable. If he can consistently average 15-16 ppg with around 6-7 rpg with a respectable 3 pt shot and continued great defense then not only does he have a ton of value but he could be the starting sf on a contender.

When we first got him I honestly never thought he'd get to this level but he's become one of my favorite players to watch and support in recent memory. Dude's a game, he puts it all out there every night... the KG mentality. I hope he keeps improving

Agreed people need to get off this "no one is safe" mentality. I know we still don't have a star but it isn't worth viewing every guy on this team as simple trade bait. It made sense when we really were a subpar team but these guys are improving and we have a quality team this year. You don't trade guys like IT and Crowder at this point unless you're getting a superstar player, I'm dead serious in that mindset.

Crowder is my favorite player.
He is a man's man.
No whining to the refs, just plays hard.
Unlike Queen James.

There's a reason Danny is looking for a scoring big, not wing.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Crowder is a ton of fun to watch. Smart and AB are also very good on D, but for some reason it feels like Crowder makes everyone else better on D. Like a mini KG. What is also great is Crowder seems to ust be scratching the surface of his potential as a scorer. I think he has made himself part of the long term plans and locked up the starting 3 (or maybe 4 if we get another good 3 at some point.)
