The Wolves couldn't breathe on the defensive end.  Jerebko, Zeller, KO helped tremendously with offensive spacing.  Hunter, Crowder had several cuts and easy lay ins.

It's not like Minnesota is a good defensive team, particularly without KG... so have to take it with a grain of salt. Plus we had a couple of days off, so that helped with energy. Minnesota is also undisciplined offensively which helps us run as well. We've been playing a lot lately on short rest.

We looked better because the Timberwolves aren't very good.

this would be the most likely explanation for why we looked much better yesterday

I disagree.  It's not like the wolves are the 76ers. We have lost to them in previous meetings

I missed the game.  Saw David Lee got the start and put up some stats. Did he help?

He forced a ton of shots down low early and missed badly. No defense as usual, so it's a very good showcase game -- as in, showing us all how cooked he is. I can't believe he ended up 5-11, I could have sworn he was 0-8 at some point (or at least it felt like that).

On a related note, Sam Mitchell is a prick. You're going to bring KG for his final visit to the Garden, he'll be in uniform, and you won't play him. Really?!

Team looked faster yesterday.
No Sully in the mix --> We get to play at a faster pace

Zach Lavine is FAST. Was hoping he fell to #16 last year. He is Westbrook-lite
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I agree.

Many say, well what if when we need to deal with a big center etc. ? Well just gas them out by out running them

We did that alot more 2nd half of last season. When Sully was injured

We were 1.5 guarding every player yesterday it seemed. No breathing room.

Wolves fans insists KG will play another year so thats probably why

Their defensive effort was poor. How much credit can you give to spacing when the defense isn't really covering those guys, even when they shoot?

This.

And KG hasn't said anything about officially hanging them up after this year so I'm not sure why people are using this as a farewell tour, despite how amazing and beautiful the Gino moment was last night.

From doing a little math on possessions from basketballreference, we seem to play at an almost identical pace when Sully is in compared to when KO is in. My method could be off but it seems to make sense. I could see the argument for pace with Zeller over Sully (or KO) because of how well he runs the court, but players who don't control the ball much aren't typically going to have much of an impact on pace.

This current Celtic squad adv is defensive execution/trap/team .D

And offensively, running game (especially having the bigs run in the transition) , spacing (again bigs pulling out their player), creating space to cut to basket or drive

Sully while good at rebounding (1 on 1) is not good at the things above.   Tries 1 on 1 play at the offensive end and suceeds here and there but this is against CBS system (considering current roster)

He can't shoot on a consistent basis. No existing post nor pnr game.  OK mid range game that he barely opts to take advantage of
