They seem to be jawing a bit and Crowder acts frustrated with Bradley's mistakes more than the other players.

I love the competitiveness, but I don't like negative tension.

I can't say I've noticed that but I do notice that Crowder loves playing next to Smart because they share the same intensity on defense.

That's not exactly what I meant. I guess what I meant is that Crowder and Smart share the same physicality on defense. You know what I'm saying?

In no way am I trying to take away from the impact Bradley makes on defense. Just to me, Crowder and Smart bring physicality on defense while Bradley brings quickness. I'm trying to think of the word but I can't.

I hate to confuse and please clarify if I do, but I think of Bradley and Smart/Crowder on defense as sugar and spice. Bradley is the sugar and Crowder/Smart are the spice.

In some ways I actually think Bradley and Crowder are a better defensive combo, since between them the cover power and quickness.

Though I guess Smart is deceptively quick also on the defensive and, doesn't seem to have a lot of trouble keeping in front of opposing Point Guards.

Anyway I don't think Crowder has much to complain about given the dramatically high rate at which he was chucking up turnovers and horrible shots earlier in the season...

I see Crowder looking over at the bench after Bradley makes mistakes like he saying, "This is what I'm talking about. Tell him to be in the right place."

It's mostly on offense. And honestly, while Bradley is a good shooter, his offensive IQ is not that high.

In the second or third quarter Crowder made a below average, but catchable bounce pass to Bradley on the break and Bradley couldn't catch it. Crowder looked frustrated. There have been times where Bradley seems out of position on offense and Crowder calls him out. Other times Crowder has yelled at him when Bradley stops at the three point line in 2 on 1 or 3 on 2 fast breaks. Each time Crowder seemed to "bubble over" with his frustration a bit. I've noticed this over the last 5-10 games.

I really like both players. Sometimes healthy competitive tension can really be a good thing, but it can quickly degrade into divisions. Just wondering if I'm the only one who saw this.

I'm not even trying to say who is better than whom together. I'm just saying I think Crowder likes playing with Smart more because they are similar. I'm not saying they are better than Bradley. I'm just saying I think the two of them share a bond from playing together. Regardless, I like the impact all three make defensively very much.

I think that when this team hits its full potential, I don't want any of the them being the focal point on offense. Maybe Smart if he evolves as a playmaker but that remains to be seen.

My frustration with this is that Crowder has no real right to get annoyed about these things, since he's no better.  Crowder's only got two capable functions on offense:

1) Throw up a ill advised three
2) Put head down and drive head first into 15 defenders and hope to magically get a foul

He's improved lately, but he still does both of the above too often.

Plus Crowder ain't exactly Rajon Rondo out there, as far as BBIQ goes.

I know what you're saying, not arguing against you point or anything.

I'm just saying that if Crowder IS getting frustrated with Bradley then I don't see how he has the right to be...since his shot selection / BBIQ leave much to be desired, and aren't much (if any) better than Bradley's.

Smart is intense like Garnett. Bradley is intense like Duncan. Crowder is more of a KG kind of guy.

But no, I don't notice any tension. A KG kind of guy will always respect a Duncan kind of guy.

I think part of Crowder's scolding is some jealousy that Avery gets to take the lion's share of shots after IT and Crowder wants more plays run for him. Avery Bradley has earned the right and shown his ability to nail that curl/pop jumpshot so Crowder will have to suck it up for the time being.

Although I think Crowder's shot selection, particularly on threes,  is excellent.
It's the bunnies around the rim after beating his man off the dribble that annoy me with Crowder.  He's got the potential to be a 50% FG small forward but he misses so many easy ones.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

TP, that's an excellent analogy.
