Speculation. However Russel just bought Scott Dissik's 4.6 million dollar party pad in Beverly Hills.
He's from L.A. and went to UCLA.
Westbrook has a contract for this year and next, if r rumors are true about Durant signing next year than expect Russell to follow him the following year.

Lakers always get hooked up, let's hope it does not work out this way.

I don't think so
I mean if Durant is going to sign there
There is no incentive for that Westbrook will eventually join him
Unless they talk about it privately

Besides currently they have a pretty talented team
I feel like OKC bench would beat lakers starter team

But they need to get their supporting players more involved offensively
And need vets with playoff exp

TBH they are best staying with OKC

Depressing news if it develops that way. My only question would be: Is it possible that Westbrook already spends his offseason in LA and he is just upgrading?

I wrote could be. Could means to indicate possibility.

All the players live in LA in the offseason. Genuinely means nothing.

Durant is NOT going to the Lakers just to make Stephen A Smith wrong (about Durant going to LA)

I personally don't think this is happening

in my opinion, just my opinion...Russell might be the guy who wants to leave the team or anything that means not being teammates with Durant. And the reason why I say that is, Russell wants to be that alpha dog, and I think in a way in OKC, when Durant is on the court, Durant is. When Durant is out, we saw how Westbrook dominated and nearly single handedly bought OKC into the playoffs last year. That being said, by no means am I saying they are on bad terms...I am just saying I think Westbrook's personality just makes me think he wants to go or stay in OKC (if Durant leaves), to a place where he is the guy

All players do n not live in LA in off season, Westbrook That's where he was born and raised, went to college there, recently was married there, and bought a 4.6 million dollar pas there.

The only part of this that wouldn't be horrible would be the sheer comedy of the Philly fans and supporters talking about the Lakers pick for 3 years to see it convey into the 28th pick three years later.

I could see Westbrook going there and wanting to be the man that turns it around after Kobe retires, but much harder to see Durant wanting to do that. He seems really unhollywood to me.

As you said, Westbrook is from LA and went to UCLA.  If he bought a house in LA it's probably because he's from there and went to UCLA, not because he has a master plan to sign with the Lakers in a year and a half
I'm bitter.

Westbrook has quite literally said he'd rather win with a good team than simply be the man on his own team.

Sooo... all it will be is OKC with less talent and what would that mean exactly?
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Will it really be less talent going forward.  Sure right now, but going forward aren't Randle and Russell going to provide more talent than OKC which is getting pretty old.

I mean what team in 2017/8 is better Westbrook, Russell, Durant, Randle, Hibbert or Westbrook, Roberson, Durant, Ibaka, Adams.  Plus the Lakers might actually add a top 3 pick this season.  It isn't quite as easy when you start projecting down the line and what Randle and Russell might become (they could also flame out and be bad).
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner
