regardless of the score?

If we beat the wolves we help ourselves and the Minny pick, but if we lose we help the cause of the Net's pick.

The Minn pick is protected to 12 and turns into 2 2nd round picks if that happens. Right now, Minn is tied for the 6th worst winning percentage with Sac.

We don't help any picks at all if we win -- just help our own playoff run. The Minny pick and Nets pick are helped if we lose.

No. Minnesota will have a better record than the nets. Did you watch the game today? And rooting for a second round pick to be a couple spots higher doesn't make sense at all, we have so many firsts and seconds, not to mention #31 from the sixers. Minnesota still has a chance to finish outside of the top 12, so why would you root for a slightly higher 2nd round pick, when there is a chance you could still have a mid first? If we LOSE that would help the Minny pick, not WIN. Duh.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

I stand corrected on my analysis, but maintain the same conclusion. A win is a win, and a loss is a win in draft pick positioning.

In terms of the Minn 1st round pick, it helps if we lose so that Minn might get enough wins that the pick would convey. This is highly unlikely, but possible. If you've already given up on getting their 1st round pick, then the Celtics winning improves the 2nd round pick that we would get. In regard to the Nets pick, it would also help if we lose so that Brooklyn maintains a worse record than Minn.

While the picks are important, the game is about winning by doing the best you can for you, your team and the fans whose support largely helps pay your wages.

Calculating minor changes in pick selection chances to me seems a loss of focus. Just saying.

This is really all that needs to be said in regards to the OP's question - TP

I don't think we are getting the Minnesota pick even if we beat them tomorrow.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'm thinking more along the lines of...if we win I will be happy because we won, if we lose then I will still take some joy out of seeing KG get a W.

The rest is just static noise to me :)

The Minnesota pick is highly unlikely to be ours

Their core is too young and inexperienced to compete for a playoff spot in the west
Even with their vets

So tomorrow is just a win
