Keeping things simple, these are the rankings for the top 50 scorers in the nba for the 2015 season so far. Isaiah Thomas ranks in at 15 and I'd guess Ainge would want another player around that range or better.  After about the top 15-20 or so there is really a drop off to secondary and third tier scorers and players that need certain kinds of systems etc. There are a few guys who could jump up the rankings depending on age and role.   But for the most part this is it,  even if you consider Bradley a go to scorer who clocks in #42.  Ainge found Thomas and obviously there are probably a few guys depending on percentages who's scoring output could inflate outside of this list but I don't see a whole lot.

1. Steph Curry
2. James Harden
3. Kevin Durant
4. Lebron James
5. Paul George
6. Russell Westbrook
7. Demarcus Cousins
8. Damian Lillard
9. Blake Griffin
10. Anthony Davis
11. Demar Derozan
12. Carmelo Anthony
13. Eric Bledsoe
14. Kyle Lowry
15. Isaiah Thomas
16. K Leonard
17. J Butler
18. Andrew Wiggins
19. Brandon Knight
20. Reggie Jackson
21. Brook Lopez
22. Klay Thompson
23. Dwayne Wade
24. Gordon Hayward
25. Ryan Anderson
26. Kemba Walker
27. Rudy Gay
28. Paul Millsap
29. Okafor
31. Drummond
32. Kevin Love
33. Galinari
34. Chris Bosh
35. Derrick Favors
36. Dirk Nowitski
37. Kobe Bryant
38. Chris Paul
39. Batum
40. Greg Monroe
41. Marc Gasol
42. Avery Bradley
43. Eric Gordon
44. Cj Miles
45. Thaddeus Young
46. Aldridge
47. Teague
48. Vucevic
49. Towns
50. Tyreke Evans

Okafor doesn't belong on this list. He's an inefficient extremely high usage center

This is just based on scoring.  I am taking into account efficiency as well though.  I'm looking down teh list after the top 50.  Ainge found Isaiah who was efficient and his numbers could inflate but I don't see a ton of guys like that.  Tobias Harris, Giannis,  Oladipo etc but yeah.  That's honestly about as far as it goes minus maybe a few other guys. There are maybe a handful of players or more outside of this list that Ainge could possibly target.

I think cross referencing top scorers, tsp%, ability to get to the line, and 4th quarter scoring should give a good idea of best go to scorers. Would also take into account minutes played per game anyone under 24 mins probably doesn't hold up.

I hear you but I looked down the list and just based on potential and talent and there really isnt a lot.  Unless you think Rodney Stuckey, Iman Shumpert, Trey Burke, jeff green,  Mario Chalmers are going to suddenly blow up. There are some players with talent down there. Al j, Nerlens Noel, Jabari Parker, Olynyk, james young etc.  But yeah. James  Young isn't a go to scorer today and why would we trade for someone like that?

It's really just a  few other guys outside this list.  You can pretty much look down this list and tell who is a real scorer and who isn't as well.

I'd probably move AD down the list. He's a tremendous player, but not really great at creating his own shot yet.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Not consistent.  Often a black hole.  I wouldn't want him as our go to scorer.

Ainge makes these comments and it's kind of funny because there are only so many players in the nba that would fit on this team or be available.

I don't think Indiana would trade him even if he broke his other leg.

Oh boy, didn't see Drummond on there. That's laughable.

Ainge also said he doesn't want cousins because he's a locker room liability.  So I guess Ainge wants a go to scorer and it isn't cousins. I don't see why any of these other teams would trade anyone who would be worthwhile.  just him putting out feelers or whatever but unless OKC comes to us and wants to deal us Durant it's absurd.
