Maybe Ainge is just making it clear to Cousins camp what he wants out of him.  He doesn't want a distraction in the locker room and wants a go to scoring big.

The thread and title are sarcastic.

We could use a star upgrade at every position but in terms of greatest need, a versatile F would really be huge for this team. Enough size to guard PFs and occasionally Cs but with the speed to capably guard SFs. On offense, someone who can shoot the 3 but also drive to the basket and finish inside. Of course, the way the league is going every team could say they need a player like that.

There really are only a few guys who fit that description to a T and they play for the best teams. Leonard in SA, James in CLE, George in IND, and Green in GS. A poor man's version would be Millsap in ATL.

I love Crowder but he's too small to really play PF for an extensive period of time, along with the fact that he's not really a playmaker. A lineup of Thomas, Bradley, Crowder, AWESOME THEORETICAL PF GUY, and Johnson would be really killer. You'd have four 3 pt. shooters on the court and "good enough" rim protection without sacrificing overall team speed. It wouldn't be a great rebounding team unless theoretical PF guy was a great rebounder, but that's also where you could look into upgrading Johnson.

I don't see any of those guys going anywhere. George or Durant  maybe.   Paul George would probably be best case for this team.  Would Indiana want to rebuild with james young, Crowder and an assortment or players and picks?

Why would the Pacers move their franchise player? It happened with KG but yeah.

Minny's championship window was getting small and KG was getting old, not to mention they failed to make the playoffs in his last year. PG is still relatively young compared to KG when he was traded.

Nothing relative about it. He's only 25.

TP. I read that DA was looking for a go to scorer. Ideally a BIG!

You know who's a big? COUSINS! Anybody who didn't immediately make that connection must be taking insane-o pills! Straight from the horse's mouth ya'll! ;D

Thanks for the love peeps. But I gotta go -- important we get another 'Zeller to Wizards' or 'We need Terrence Jones' thread going ASAP so we can all repeat ourselves until we hit the coo coo nest.
