For all the talk about Kobe being done, he has quietly put together a reasonably efficient 6 game stretch where he is shooting pretty well from the floor.

If he figures out this MJ Wizards type of role and continues to play efficiently, I just think he is too competitive not to come back for some contender that needs a bench scorer.

He is too competitive and egotistical to ever relegate himself to a bench scorer role.  Guy looks completely miserable when the play on the court does not 100% revolve around him. 

Agreed that he has been playing better the last couple weeks though.

Kobe has been Alpha dog for too long.  It has mostly served him well in his career but I can't see him taking a back seat to anyone now.  Now if the Lakers were stupid enough to offer him another 2yr/50mil contract again that might change things but I can't see that happening.
