Per rumors teams interested to trade for Cousins - Bulls, Heat. Can't see the Celtics trading for Cousins and his unpredictable personality/moods. But Danny may want to be involved as the third team to help facilitate the trade(s)

2 trade ideas

1.
To Heat: Cousins, IT, Young
To Kings: Sullinger, Zeller, Celts 1st, Celtics 2nd, Heat 1st, Whiteside

To Celtics: Winslow, Haslem, Anderson, Mclemore

2.
To Bulls: Cousins, Rozier
To Kings: Sullinger, Portis, Young, Bulls 1st, Joakim Noah

To Celtics: Mclemore, Mcdermott

Would Cousins and Whiteside be any good together? I would try to pry whiteside away before winslow at this point.

Any trade for Cousins would involve Whiteside to the Kings I would say. So they won't play together

You missed the part of the quotes where it says the Celtics are one of the three teams currently interested in trading for Cousins, and have made their interest and what they can offer for him well known to the Kings.

Danny will not trade for the crybaby. Not a player CBS wants to deal with

both are overpayments.

1 - basically IT, Sully, Zeller, Young, C's first, C's second  FOR Winslow (underwhelming rookie so far), Haslem (toast), Anderson (toast), Mclemore (end of rotation guy right now)

2 - Sully, Rozier, Young FOR Mcdermott (mediocre prospect at this point), Mclemore (end of rotation guy right now)

Not liking the end results of either proposal

You are not going go get your perceived value for Sullinger.

He is not considered that great around the league.  Not bad but not how some Celts fans think. Add his weight and contract headaches

Sacramento drafted Whiteside and waived him.

I don't think he was well liked there. Not sure they would want him back.

Already have a similar prospect (to Whiteside) in WCS at center to replace Cousins.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
I'd do the first one if we got to keep Thomas.  Dealing away Thomas in that package moves us a step backwards and we want to make ourselves more attractive to free agents/a trade destination. This does the the opposite.

I also don't see the Kings giving up McLeMore in a Cousins trade. If they move Cousins it will probably be in a rebuild move and with McLemore's age I think he would be a part of the rebuild.

DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

These are two good points - TP. It also gives me hope that if a deal did go down between the Heat and Kings, that we could get in on it and grab Whiteside.

But, yes, I definitely definitely definitely want Cousins.

Celts get mugged in both deals. Likely due to your insistence on underrating Sully.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

And his insistence on overrating McLemore
I'm bitter.

Both trades are really not good for us.  Plus no matter what you say it's obviously been written several times that Ainge wants Cousins so we aren't going to help someone else get him unless.
it's a great deal for us and neither of these are.  Now unless your DA those are the facts.

No way we help out Miami so they can get Cousins.  Not going to happen plus we trade away IT and Sully (arguably our 2 best players this year). Trade # 2 McLemore hasn't done anything in his career and we already have a McDermott type player in Hunter.
