No one will give anything up for that fat tub of goo. I mean he's an okay role player so maybe a mid second rounder but that's it. He can't even start over a bust of a pick in KO. Should have drafted Greek Freak. Sad that this team has a GM that doesn't like foreign players or at least taking those players early.
I might have missed something here.
Sully - 23 starts
KO - 0 starts
Let me help:
Sully - not a PF
KO - not a C
I'll help as well. Amir also plays C for us, so Olynyk could easily replace Sullinger by Stevens by simply rotating Amir over. So the distinction is not that important in my view if Stevens thought KO warranted more playing time and was better than Sullinger this season so far. I don't think the distinction you're making is all that important.
If Johnson at C was a sustainable solution, Sullinger would have never found himself in the starting lineup. The answer is simple, it isn't.
Yeah, I'd say that's a misguided notion considering that Sullinger is the big who's been playing the most minutes so far for this team, considering Stevens pairs Lee/Olynyk off the bench (with little thought apparently on who plays Center).
I think evidence suggest that the most likely reason behind Sullinger starting over Olynyk (and playing more as it is) is that Stevens thinks Amir and Sullinger are his best two bigs so far in the season period. If it was a simple matter of "fit" for the starting spot there wouldn't be the gap of 6.5 minutes per game between Sullinger and Olynyk (which includes the 37 minute OT outlier from Olynyk). All of this with clear evidence that Olynyk has been a big binkie of Stevens since he got into the league.
If Olynyk at PF was a sustainable solution, he would've found himself in the starting line-up. The answer is simple, he isn't.
