i'll never forget rudy tomjanovich while running down court to break up a fight and was sucker punched by kermit washington a goon whos job it was to protect kareem-kermit was thought to be one of strongest in league-
usually its just some grappling but jr hit came out of nowhere

It'd be nice if the Celtics had an old-school enforcer on the roster.

Difference is the Olynyk play was debatable and KO atleast apologized to Love for what happened.

Smith on the other hand intentionally took a shot at Crowder and refuses to acknowledge he did anything wrong.

It was a dirty play, but Crowder and the team need to move on.  I'm surprised that Crowder is even addressing this with the media, let alone hoping for an apology.  Smith should apologize about the same time that McHale apologizes to Rambis.

I think it would be reasonable if Crowder wanted to play mind games with Smith and try to make him afraid that he might face some sort of retaliation.

I don't remember Kermit Washington being a goon. It was a terrible thing he did that game, but I don't remember him having a reputation as a goon.

Yeah, I thought Olynyk deserved the suspension for making a reckless play, but while locking up Love was intentional, the injury almost certainly wasn't, and it was at least an attempt at a basketball play to keep him away from the rebound.  Smith's spinning backfist was just a spinning backfist.

JR Smith is a thug so move on. He even boasted about him and his team trying to end the Warriors' streak. Like that's ever gonna happen lol. Curry and Warriors easily whip Queen James and Cleveland.

I hope the Celtics don't do anything stupid.  I want their focus to be to play hard and physical (which is what they do), and to try to win the ball game without getting any techinicals, flagrant fouls, ejections or anything of that nature.

Leave all the extraneous stuff behind.  Thinking about retaliation won't help win the game.

C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Nah---if you watch the play from start to finish---Love was pulling on K.O.'s arm to start with---and K.O. responded with the same---unfortunately--Love got hurt....But Love started it--which of course was ignored bu everyone-!
