Not IT4.  :-\  He looked lost out there last night.

With the Celtics it goes back to the classic "open man" situation.

Yup. Not once but twice.   CBS should of called timeout on the 2nd final shot.

1st final shot - drive in instead of shooting
2nd final shot - drive in instead of shooting

Due to size limitations he can't shoot over many NBA players. So why do it for the final shot?

Play within the system,  Whoever has a good shot takes it.  Even if Ainge acquires a star, no end-of-game isos.

When was the last game he "closed" a game for the Celts?

We know he can score but the question is should he be taking the last shot?

Thomas had a terrible game last night.  It sucks, but it happens.  I think he gets too wrapped up in his own game and performance sometimes, especially a big game.  Last night reminded me a bit of the Cleveland series last year.

There will be a big game this year where IT4 is red hot and carries the team to a victory.  It just wasn't last night.

Yeah, he would've been the best option for an iso last night, especially with how well he shoots the mid-range pull-up. I'm still ticked that we didn't call timeouts in those situations.

I don't hate ISO with Thomas but against a long armed 6-7 defender he has to drive earlier and try to use his excellent finishing ability or kick out.

Livingston has given it a lot of trouble in the past too

Who ever is open.

We don't have many guys who can create their own shot.  I'd say Bradley would be the best bet due to his shooting percentages, but (without looking up stats to verify it), he seems to shoot a lot better in catch-and-shoot situations as opposed to off the dribble.   Again, too lazy to verify that... just seems that way.

I get giving the ball to Thomas, because he's one of the few who can create a shot... though his shooting is kind of low percentage, so it's not a great play.

Turner if I have to pick one guy. He's the best on the team at getting HIS shot. If all we need is 2, I trust Logo. But I'd prefer the open man on a set play.

Thomas might be as good or better at getting his own shot, but as others have said, his size puts certain limitations on that that get exasperated in crunch time. And Turner actually does have a history of hitting big shots.
