Interesting (Miami writer) talking about Winslow's struggles. Especially on a team that can't afford for guys to go through slow periods or get injured, Winslow is not giving them what they really need: Offense.

Still like him long term but that potential trade to Charlotte could have been bad.

The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
He was a decent outside shooter in college, so I think it'll come.  He looks a lot like MKG in strengths and weaknesses right now, though.

Ainge is completely to blame, and I like Ainge:

1. Had we waived Bass, Jonas, and Gigi at the deadline the Celtic's would have lost at least 4 games and in my opinion more. That gives us the 10th pick at minimum. Ainge underestimated CBS. So we should have drafted 10th with our own pick giving us the choice between Winslow and Myles Turner...he prob would have drafted Winslow( I would have then traded for the 11th pick/with Indy for Myles Turner and given AB or Sully or another package of players for Turner and Indy's 2017 pick unprotected)

2. The package Ainge offered CHA was crazy and if he had done his job right we would have had the player with our own pick and it would have cost us no assets.

3. Like he did in the 13/14 season Ainge is holding onto veterans that are not only expiring but have no future with us. They give us inflated wins and only take away our chances at getting a better pick

I am pretty happy with how everything worked out.

I don't think we necessarily would have lost any more games if we waived those three guys.  The average of those three is probably below replacement level, right?
