The Clippers visit the Garden February 10th! The trade deadline is February 19th.

Two things that have to happen at this game:

 1) Celtics get the W!

 - Show Pierce why staying with the Clippers and not winning another championship isn't better than playing on a hungry Celtics team and competing in the playoffs.

 2) Everybody at the game chant "We want the Truth!!" in the 4th quarter. Hopefully the Clips are losing and Pierce is on the bench during the chant.

This could get him to warm up to the idea of coming back home.

**None of this matters if we can get him home between Dec 15th-Feb 10th

Does anyone know if this could really happen? Like I know Pierce isn't playing much but what about the logistics? Salaries? Does LA need another C?

They need just about anyone who can play legitimate minutes off the bench.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Pierce= about $3.4M
Zeller= about $2.6M

The trade would work. The Clippers current back up C is Cole Aldrich and he's averaging 3.4 minutes per game. So they could definitely utilize Zeller

Real GM Trade Checker says the salaries don't match for a straight-up trade. But I still like this idea and there's probably a deal to be made somehow.

As much as I love this idea, though, it's with the understanding that Pierce isn't a big-minute contributor anymore. He'd probably play 10 minutes a game, lots of DNP's, and be player-coach for us. Which would be terrific.

I don't care how much he plays as long as he's in Celtic green. Just imagine Marcus and PP out there together...man, I miss the Truth!

Here that Danny, the people have spoken. Bring home The Truth!

Pierce was dynamite in the post season last year and I think Doc is probably holding onto the notion that Pierce will turn it up a notch come playoff time.

Not sure he'd want to move him, though Josh Smith has been playing well as a small ball 4 lately so you could argue those minutes would be covered.

TP.  Exactly this.  A trade LAC probably should make but won't for the reason you stated.

Zeller is also an excellent backup to go to when they start hacking Dwight Howard or he gets in foul trouble. The trade actually makes some sense for both sides, though Zeller's status for next year might make them question the trade.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Kobe is looking woeful, playing like an old man---just horrible!  PP has looked worse.  If you want to bring him back for nostalgias sake, fine.  Cause he deserves to end his career here, fine.  Just don't expect anything remotely like the player we traded away!

I proposed this trade not because I think Pierce will play like an all star here, but because I think he'd at least do more here, and be a great mentor. Zeller is doing nothing for us and is gone at the end of the year anyways, and Pierce is contributing zilch to the Clippers, so it seems like a win win.
