I know that the stock answer is "It depends on the circumstances".

Prior to tonight, I would've said unequivocally "IT". He's our best ball handler, best scorer and best FT shooter.

Livingston took him away tonight and IT is a huge liability defensively. Brad better sit him down and work on his decision making. It sucked in crunch time.

Turner does make some boneheaded moves, but with the game on the line, I'd rather have the ball in his hands.

IT usually delivers

today I actually thought Turner or KO (I'm leaning towards KO) to take that last shot. He had the hot hands, 3s, running, layups

I think I like Turner with the ball also.  He reads what's happening and reacts appropriately and he doesn't seem nervous in clutch situations.  I hate isolations where a guy dribbles and dribbles and you know he is going to look for his own shot, like IT did when Livingston blocked his shot.

I think in most situations we have AB and Smart out there with IT, Crowder and KO. So we would have two more dependable ball handlers and deep threats in there instead of Turner. At that point it's probably easier to get a play off with guys who can stretch the floor.

I think IT4 should TAKE the shots but not be tasked to set it up for himself. If he is handling it, he needs to pass and set the table for someone else. That's not only tonight, that's any game.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Turner IS cold-blooded. No fear in crunch time, hits FTs, has the length to see over defenders and can get in the paint.

Hell, if you need to keep IT on the floor, have Turner start the offense.

IT or KO should shoot the buzzer beater.......for now

I think a time will come in a year or so...until a star signs ....when RJ may be the guy who can get many types of shots for himself or make a high IQ pass .

Didn't see your post when I slowly typed and thought.

Exactly.

I'm a Jae Crowder fan, but at times I feel he forces it offensively... especially with mid-range jumpers and 3s.

At the end of a game if its within 2, I would put the ball in D. Lee or Sully's hands because of their moves on the low post. If we need a 3.............. still thinking about it

Probably someone who's not currently on the team.

I agree on that one.  I just said almost the same thing in the other thread.  I would have liked to run the offense through KO on those last second plays.  Better passing angle from KO, and if they play off of him, he was getting to the lane tonight as well.  I guess it is easy to 2nd guess after the fact though...

Paul Pierce.

Though in current circumstances, I would say IT most nights. It does 'depend on the circumstances' too and players should be able to adapt.

  • GOT IT!!!
As crazy as it is to say Turner. His length is much tougher to defend going to the rim than IT. He also seems more likely to make the better play than Thomas does. KO would have gotten that shot in OT.
