  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
The key to beating GSW is to make Curry take hard shots and beating them with our defense.
So will Brad Stevens potentially start Evan Turner at point guard ? If he doesn't start he will probably get major minutes vs GSW running pg.
With Turner starting we can have a defensive line up of:

Bradley on Curry
Crowder on Thompson (if he plays)
Turner on Iggy
Sully on Green
Amir on Bogut

The obvious dilemma is losing  IT's three point shooting to stretch the floor vs Turner's size on defense to put maximum pressure on Curry with Bradley and Crowder in switches.

Any thoughts on Stevens' strategy heading into this one?

I don't think it matters who starts, because we'll need IT to play major minutes if we're gonna have a chance of winning. This just happens to be a game where he doesn't matchup with any of the opposing guards on the floor, considering nobody really matches up with Curry. It's what you get when you have a 5-8 PG. Matchups can be a problem.

Also I see Sully mostly on Bogut, who is slower than Green, and Amir mostly on Green. Green is too fast and active for Sully.

I'm just hoping the good Turner shows up, because we're going to need him.

Doesnt matter who match curry, the point is to shut down his teammates and let him work
try to take them out of their rhymth
Amir is slower then Sully so he should be on Bogut..

IT should start and take the lion's share of minutes, but Bradley should be stuck on Curry like glue.

so if IT starts and Bradley has Curry, who does IT guard? That's my biggest concern.

Rush since Barnes is out. That could actually work. And if Klay is out, then it isn't a problem at all

I don't think switching up the lineup for one game is good for us, especially as well as we've been playing with this particular rotation. Like others have said, Barnes being out really helps, because IT can guard Rush.

It'll be interesting to see who they have guard IT. I would put Klay on him, because he's been known to have problems with bigger, lankier defenders. That also lets Curry rest a little more on defense not having to guard our best offensive player, though chasing AB around screens isn't much better.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Well Rush is 6'6" without shoes so that could lead to problems :S

This. The best lineup against Golden State is the lineup that has played best for us throughout the season. To beat them, we're going to have to force them to play our game, not try to beat them at theirs.
