Let's just disregard those fights that happened in Boston for just a moment. From a basketball standpoint what's the most you could see Ainge giving up for Jahlil Okafor.

Okafor makes about 5 million per year, so Smart, Sullinger, and there choice of Hunter, Rozier, Mickey would work plus picks.

With a Smart Sully or Smart Kelly base, how many and what picks would Danny feel comfortable with.

Smart and the Nets pick but only if it's not the first pick.

I doubt Okafor gets dealt at all..Noel on the other hand---Plus, he's a Huge Celtics fan....would be a perfect match.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Nets pick, cap filler.

I wouldn't do that trade though.

Yeah probably the Nets pick... though if it's top 3 I'm not sure if it's worth it. Okafor has not looked great lately (in the games he's played of course since on top of everything he's an off court headache)

I wouldn't trade for anyone on the sixers.  They have too many big people and none proven to be championship quality.  Take a chance on the leftover one or two when they become free agents.  Philly is not developing its talent because of the tanking, so one or more may be a bargain.

No one looks good playing with terrible teammates except for Lebron James. The 76ers are engineered to be terrible; all they do is toss him the ball like a hot potato in between doing terrible crap. Okafor is like a star college quarterback who gets drafted by a team with no offensive line and no receivers.

He's a great prospect. He would be worth the whole boatload of picks.

This is completely irrelevant. No player in Okafor's situation ever gets traded.

Sometimes people don't here the question. Not if you would trade for him. What is the most in your opinion that you could see Ainge giving up for him.

Sully, Kelly, and two non Nets picks is the most I can see.

Don't let how he's played vs Boston fool you. Big men usually feast on our team because of our lack of interior defense.

However, let's look at the greater sample size. He's had a lot trouble vs length, I believe he had 8 of his shots blocked vs Chicago, and is one of the leaders in having his shot blocked (41 blocks against in 19 games). Defensively he's pretty bad, especially in defending the pick and roll. His advanced stats are pretty poor. He's shooting only 43.7% at the rim. His offensive rating is 91, while his defensive rating is 106. A PER of only 14.5.

Don't think he fits a need (interior defense) or Stevens' pace and space style due to his lack of floor spacing and wanting to operate solely on the inside. He seems much better suited for a half court/grind it out style where he is flanked by good perimeter defenders (helping his weak P & R D) and shooters (to allow him space to operate inside). In other words, you basically have to construct your entire roster to accommodate his skill-set. I think he's talented, but not talented enough (ceiling isn't that high due to his lack of athleticism) to give up much more than a couple of protected future 1st rd picks (none of the Brooklyn' ones!) a player (Sullinger or Olynyk), and a prospect (Mickey, Rozier, or Young). That's my absolute best offer. On another team he would have greater value.

Isaiah Thomas + Jared Sullinger, though to be honest I fear that is overpaying.

Maybe more like Marcus Smart + Jared Sullinger.  Maybe I throw in the Dallas pick or the Celtic's own pick (not both) as well.

There is no chance I include any of the future Nets picks in that deal.  Okafor is Brook Lopez 2.0, and Brook Lopez is not worthy of a Nets pick.

I think Nerlins would jump ship in a NY second to be on Boston and have CBS as his coach . Noel won't resign with them , no way  .  He looks disgusted ......and he should be with trash GM and owners

Noel to Boston .....one way or the other I think has a good chance of happening one day
