I know he struggled against Kentucky.  Really hope he does not injure himself with his high flying dunks, and I wouldn't be mad at Danny at all for drafting him even though we have about 40 guards.

He actually has a good shot at scoring 18 ppg in the Pro's IMO. He's playing out of his mind in his second year. Last year he was a spark plug in spot minutes. This year he's a superstar.

You must see how he plays, he weaves and zig zag through defenses better than most point guards, he's very crafty with the dribble, tremendous slasher with runners, floaters, pull up jumpers or he hammers down a dunk.

Most slashers struggle with the jumpshot, not Allen. So far he's shooting .524% fg .472%3p and .922% ft

 21.8 ppg 4.6 RPG 3.3apg

If he Keep this up. I would be happy to call him a Celtic.

This is also not a knock on Reddick he's been a good player. It's just that they are very different players. He's scored 16.4 ppg in the NBA which is nothing to sneeze at.

Allen is a slasher, athlete, and he can shoot. Rare combination of skills.

I actually hope Allen stays one more year, just based off the first third of the college basketball season thus far. Besides the Kentucky game I think he had trouble against one other team, it wasn't Elon but it was another team with maroon-ish jerseys if I remember correctly. Regardless, I say that to say this: I think he should stay another year to round out his game in regards to finishing at the rim...unless we see another jump in him late in the year like last year. He had a great game against Wake Forest (senior night maybe, scored 28 points I believe) and then carried that confidence into the tournament. Can't forget he was maybe the fifth fiddle besides Okafor, Winslow, T. Jones, and Cook.

Another year in college may be a waste for him, but that's why I say right now (as Duke is 1-0 in ACC play) since he may be able to round out his game during the rest of the season.

Hmm, I haven't noticed this before but I have their game against Long Beach saved on my DVR. I'll have to take a look at him defensively. College defense are one thing, but we should still be able to see some of his potential regardless.
