Seriously though, 21 people voting 0 wins. You should be ashamed of yourselfs, there is literally no chance he doesn't add at least 1 win.

It's plus 3 wins in the trade machine, and even that I'll take the over.

Make that 22.

Lots of clueless fans in this thread.

First of all, Hood is a starter quality wing. He's a consistent threat from 3pt range, finishes in transition, and has the length and athletecism to be an effective defender at two or three positions if he had a coach that enstilled defense upon him.

Hood's TS% this year is about 54%. Not great, but still more effective offensively than Bradley, Jerebko, Smart, Turner, Sullinger, Lee and Zeller. His WS/48 hovers around a .100, which slots him ahead of the same group of players..Bradley, Smart, Turner, Jerebko, Zeller, Hunter...

Played in and started 40 games for Utah this year, getting a high usage for a player that should be utilized as a spot up shooter.

His VORP this year, in 40 starts, is a .6, which puts him on par with Avery, and ahead of Turner, Lee, Smart, Jerebko, Hunter, Zeller, etc.

If you dont think he would have contributed a couple more wins if he was on the roster instead of James Young, you're crazy. He's a very skilled offensive player, and he's going to become more and more efficient as his career moves forward.

Per 36 minutes, a number he isn't far off of, he's giving you 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and makes opposing defenses play the perimeter tighter and open up other spots on the floor.

His percentages might not be stellar yet, but he's coming off an injury last year and he's starting in his first full season in the league.

Y'all are crazy.

You found out now?

Agreed. Hood was a below average bench player last season. He is not good enough (yet) to crack Boston's rotation. I don't think Hood would any wins to Boston's W-L record.

He is definitely an ABOVE average SG THIS year!!  He is 9th for SG's  in ESPN's real plus minus overall and he is 27th in defensive RPM for SG's this year.  He was a SUPERB defender at Duke.  He simply IS a very solid defender!!!

Real Plus Minus is great to look at - passes the smell test and also turns up some surprises. Hood is in the top quarter of the NBA by this stat! - pretty good for a second-year player. But it's on the offensive end that he's a plus, still negative on the defensive end. Give him a year.

Chance of getting him?

Nope Smitty, that's the unfortunate part of missing in the draft. Can't get him now unless you want to drastically Overpay, and who the heck wants to do that.

Yeah. A scrub project. That's exactly what he is.
