I appreciate when anyone takes the time to think out and post trade proposals.
But that's just an absolutely terrible trade for the Celtics. So, not only would we trade KO (a very talented young player on a rookie contract and is a 7 foot PG with Range), but also Lee and Turner (who have been helping is win games), Jerebko (a coaches favorite who happens to often be around when good things happen, good hustle/bench guy who can shoot) and Young (a 20 year old kid who's got a very good skill set but has had very limited chances in the NBA with C's deep roster. Dominated DL), but ALSO the PHI 2nd this year (Fairly valuable because of contract differences, likely #31-34) AND BOTHH of our non-Nets 1sts this year for Tyreke Evans and Ryan Anderson? Man, your basically giving them younger versions of those guys just in Olynyk and Turner. Sure, Tyreke is a lot better version of Turner but they're similar. And then all those other guys and picks? Way too much
One disclaimer I forgot to make was the fact that this trade would ONLY be made IF the DAL and BOS picks aren't lottery picks. IF either is, then they hold more value and there's no way Ainge would make the trade. At the deadline if it looks like Celtics and Mavs will make playoffs, and all we're giving up are two 1sts in the 15-23 range, then I wouldn't hesitate to give up those two picks as part of the trade.
Yes, the Philly 2nd has higher value than a late 1st--which is why I added it to sweeten the deal. It can be taken out if it's too much.

Bottom line: I think we should trade for Evans & Anderson. That means we have to clear any logjams in order to create room for them to get quality minutes, all-the-while compensating the Pelicans for downgrading their talent.
- Anderson is an upgrade over Olynyk
- Evans is similar to Turner but still considered a big upgrade (someone who Ainge has coveted in the past)
- Lee won't be here next year after we upgrade our roster--so he's simply a filler in the trade
- Young still has potential but its going to become increasingly harder to dedicate 1 of 15 roster spots to him with all our incoming draft picks and potential free agent signings.
