Surprised there isn't a thread on this already after last nights game . He literally complains after every play , gives  dirty look to the ref and then casually mopes back to the defensive end often times letting his man beat him down the court.

It's just mind boggling how people think he would be a franchise player . He has no leadership aspects to his game . When he gets it going on offense it is a 1 man show . I don't see him making teammates better .

No way in hell am I trading the nets pick this year for him, forget about multiple nets .

I think that perhaps the Kings got caught up in putting on a show for the Mexico City fans and lost sight of the fact that this truly was a legitimate game!!

Just think IF you could control that emotion in Cousins!!!  He is already a top 10 player in the league.  He would truly be in a galaxy of his OWN if Brad could control him!!!  I also don't know IF having Rondo as their team's QB is the best fit for DC!!

Did you notice how that DC was pulling RR away from the referees?  Give the man some credit when credit is due.

I just finished watch the game.

His body language sucks. And it's not because he's on a loosing team, it's just him. Gorman Pointed out last season that he seems like he's always mad. I love his talent, but he's a player that could mess things up. And while for a bit I was in defense of him and that he's never had a winning record, he has a good team around him, and good coach, so there is no excuse. The West is deep and good, but I don't think MAVS, Grizz,Jazz, and even Minni, who yes had more prospect talent, but shouldn't be better than SAC.

He's also very lazy on D. I barely noticed him on the floor unless he was complaining about some thing. He also likes to throw some cheap shots out there, which I'm not a fan of and hopefully Smart doesn't do that anymore, only part of his game I've been worried about so far.

No way I'd give up picks for him, I don't think Stevens would want that guy on the team right now.

I'm not going to base my opinions on Cousins after his actions in one game in Mexico City... If this guy is available, you do what you can to get him. Period.

Jeff Goodman recently spoke about him on Celtics Beat. He said that he's been watching Cousins play since HS and he's always been the same guy. That he's not a guy that can be the leader of a team or the type that handles adversity well.

Yes, his body language is atrocious, as his shot selection and pure laziness to get back on defense. Probably has more to do with him as a person/player than it does with team/environment.

He does have a look on his face that looks like he is almost ready to cry or throw a little kid temper tantrum. You know who it reminds me a lot of, hate to say it, but think. Who did we have that gave those looks for years? Walker and PP(before the KG and Ray trades.) I'm not trying to make a player or career trajectory comparison just something I've noticed. And I didn't really love it with PP and Walker were doing it years ago too.

There are just so few big guys. If we can give all the nets picks and Lee for him I think Ainge would do it.

I saw that too but at the end of the day he's still Cousins.  You do whatever it takes to get him.

He is a supremely talented whining dog.  And I agree it has nothing to do with his situation or team, it's just him.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

I think the sample size is much larger than one game.

Does any player complain more to the refs than Cousins?
His attitude just sucks so bad. Such a whiney **** bag.

OP is right, he's a freakin dog.
I do not want this guy on our team or in our locker room. Some people never change and he's one of those spoiled athletes who thinks he's god's gift to the game.
His behavior is summed up in one word: immature

If you just watched that game, I'd agree, he seems like a cancer. That team as a whole just looked terrible. Once they got down they threw the towel in and just didn't seem to care. Put Cousins on the Cs and he changes his ways? I think so. I would think the rest of the Cs would force Cousins to elevate his game and play at a higher level. Didn't he get high praise on team USA?

In all that Sac team is a mess. Cousin is really there only building block, Rondo's not worth the headache, Cauly-Stein hasn't looked great, Gay has little value, and after that there's not much. Should be interesting what direction they end up going, but right now they're really bad.

Yeah. Have you ever watched Lebron James?

Because those two statements above describe him to a T.

I literally was just about to write this.

Thank you for doing the service for me.

TP.

I don't get why people are hating on DMC so much...

People vied for Melo, but he isn't a vocal leader...

Cousins is the type of passionate player that would do his best on a team with hustle guys. Crowder/Smart would be like the best ideal teammates for DMC.

DMC is a player who feeds off of other players emotions, and whats wrong about that? DMC is still the best center in the game, and I think he should back at the 5. Screw the 4.... You're refusing to allow one of the best rebounders, and best low post scorers in the league stay at the 4? Doesn't make any sense. I know CBS would utilize him to his fullest extent. His ability to step out to the range, pump fake, and his ability to surprise defenders by running on the fast break with underrated handles is what's going to garner praise by Boston fans.

Also Cousins HAS ALWAYS been like this...

You guys cry about every players flaws... I'm sorry, but every player is DIFFERENT! That is why they are called players, because they PLAY the game how they want to.

You don't like Harden, because he doesn't play defense, and complains to the ref.

You don't like Melo, because he doesn't play defense, and takes tough contested shots.

You don't like Lebron, because he complains to the ref, and takes some plays off.

You don't like Chris Paul, because he flops on purpose, and complains to the ref.

You don't like Westbrook, because he has a terrible attitude, and complains to the ref.

I mean jeez louise... These are all top 20 players, and yet you guys don't like these players, but how quick you would change your tune if they were all on the Celtics..

Its easy to judge a player, but when DMC has been on a losing team for his entire career, its tough to be happy about the situation. Yes, they upgraded the roster, but you can't win a championship without a good coach. Is Karl a good coach? Yes. Championship? No.

Arguably, I would say CBS is leaps and bounds ahead of him. Not as impressive resume, but hes always got more out of his teams than Karl has the past 3 years.

Lebron plays harder after he complains.  Cousins quits on the team and does stupid things on the court for several plays after he complains.

agreed, plus Lebron makes everyone on the team better, is a lock down defender, and can take over the game when he needs to.
