For once it actually looked like he believed in his game.  He made his first shot, then his next, and he really didn't hesitate at all from there.  He had a few traveling turnovers, but otherwise did everything - drove to the basket, made great passes, and shot the ball with confidence.  Key word being confidence.

good.  Even if he misses his first shot or two or three he has to keep at it.  I find that when he misses a few in a row his confidence goes down the drain. Then starts to hesitate and pass up open shots.

Be defended by Kosta Koufos and Quincy Acy looks good on Kelly, I guess.

He just made some open shots against an absent D. Maybe the angle to take with KO is to encourage him to simplify the entire game for himself. He looks to overthink everything, when in reality, if he played aggressive defense and knocked down spot-up 3s with consistency (and at a decent volume), he'd be a gem for any team in the league.

All his other intangibles (e.g., court vision, passing) are icing on the cake... if he did those two things consistently, he'd make our team better. Gotta make the job easy for him if you want him to succeed, I think... he may be 'cerebral' to a fault out there, at this point.

He reminds me of a slightly more consistent Jeff Green. Each game you can tell almost immediately if KO is going to be aggressive and engaged, or play like the Uncle Snooze of the North.

He prefers playing outside the US, particularly against horrible teams that challenge themselves to play as little D as possible.

The kid's got a ton of talent.  There's no question there.  It's a matter of whether or not he can figure out how to bring his A game on a more consistent level.

If he can do that, he's going to be a really good pro with a long career.

Sorry I disagree with that approach. Olynyk made some really excellent passes to enable easy shots for teammates. He also pulled down some timely rebounds. His cerebral skills should not be wasted by turning him into a 3-and-D guy.

That said, when KO is knocking down threes, he reminds me a bit of Larry...

He actually looked to be really aggressive against the Heat too. It was kinda' obvious that he knew (or CBS told him) that he needed to find his offense to help his team. He just got called for a couple of travels early and Sully/Amir

I still believe in Olynyk. I still think 15, 5, and 5 are realistic 36 numbers, but I kinda' think CBS wants to use him in 15-20 minute runs.

Par for the course for Kelly, one game that gives hope, and 3-4 others that make us wonder will he ever be reliable.

Kelly looked engaged, his passing was very good, his up fakes actually lead to baskets. This is the Kelly we need, a stretch big that can pass, make plays, rebound/defend a bit, and hit open shots, coming off the bench.

Kelly provided a lift last night.

He looked relaxed and seemed just to play. He didn't force much, and was quick in decision making. Usually he's pump faking everything and then passing. I think the couple open shots helped. Maybe thats the key is for Stevens to run some plays to get him some open shots to get going.

He also made some great passes. Now to string 5 or five games like that together then we can get a bit more excited. :)
