Any idea of How SVG and the Pistons like him? I know he was their first round pick 8th overall, but Would we have any interest in him?

KO and James Young for Stanley? Might have to throw in a pick since he was a lottery pick.....

Smart/Bradley/Johnson/Sully/Amir

yes, his numbers are pretty bad, but he has an NBA body and an all-star ceiling . He reminds me a lot of Jimmy Butler.

Would probably take Crowder, and a pick or 2

I don't think he's available.

I would trade the Nets pick for him if it's not top 3.

I trust SVG in making roster moves.

Any good GM won't give up on a top 10 prospect 20 games into their career. I don't think he is on the table in trade discussions. If they liked him enough to pick him that high, they like him enough to keep him longer than 1/4 of the way into his rookie season.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Still finding his feet but showing flashes of top talent. Had 19 points and 10 rebounds against Houston a few days ago. I think the Pistons know they have something special there. They just need to be patient and let him grow.

I think it would take a lot to get him out of Detroit at this point. Like the Nets pick.

I agree. He prob will be a top talent. As tough as it would be, I would trade Smart for him.

have to agree.  can't see Detroit giving up on him this quickly.  the kid's still a rookie and a top pick at that

Would you consider Marcus Morris, Reggie Bullock and "maybe" a pick for Marcus Smart to be fair? Because that's essentially what you're calling fair value for Stanley Johnson.

He's better than Winslow for whom Ainge was apparently willing to clear he cupboard for, if that helps as a point of reference.

Detroit isn't moving him. He's their starting SF of the future and fits perfectly in their lineup in between Reggie/KCP and Drummond.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

First I was just trying to gage interest and availability...plus the pick could change any trade. 2nd it was a starting point...throwing spaghetti at the wall.....but  Detroit has Drummond and Morris as bigs and thats about it .....KO actually would fit in nicely off the bench as a nice pair to Drummond. SVG seems to like a dominate big surrounded by shooting....they have drummond as the big and KO would help in the shooting department. Morris would not fit into our plethora of bigs we have too many as is lol

As many mentioned, I don't think Detroit would be so quick to trade or give up on Johnson but his play has been up and down and SVG's feeling on him has been up and down...yelling at him one point, then apologizing the next so who knows.

I would be willing to give up anything but Smart, Bradley, IT, the kids(hunter, rozier and mickey) and this years nets pick for stanley.

He's a rookie and SVG is a notoriously intense coach.
