Watching the Clippers-Warriors game proved that Doc Rivers is always overrated. His track record also say so. And tonight added another record of another collapse, blowing a 23 pt lead in the 4th quarter.
This guy never won a playoff series until KG came. Here are his playoff records:
- 41-41 season record, lottery bound
- 43-39 season record, 1st round exit, lost 3-1
- 44-38 season record, 1st round exit, lost 3-1
- 42-40 season record, 1st round exit, lost 4-3, choked a 3-1 lead
- 0-10 start at Orlando season, gets fired.
- 45-37 season record, 1st round exit, lost 4-3
- 33-49 season record, lottery bound
- 24-58 season record, lottery bound, 2nd worst record in the league
- 66-16 season record, NBA champs
- 62-20 season record, 2nd round exit, lost 4-3, choked a 3-2 lead
- 50-32 season record, reached NBA Finals, lost 4-3, choked a 3-2 lead
- 56-26 season record, 2nd round exit, lost 4-1
- 39-27 season record, reached ECF, lost 4-3, choked a 3-2 lead
- 41-40 season record, 1st round exit, lost 4-2
- 57-25 season record, 2nd round exit, lost 4-2
- 56-26 season record, 2nd round exit, lost 4-3, choked a 3-1 lead
This is alarming because of his repeating choking records and early playoff exits. He never improved any teams he coached on. I'm now starting to believe that even Vinnie Del Negro or George Karl can take us deep in the playoffs with the Big 3 era Celtics.
