Ugh. Don't like to see smart injured.

Hope it's not serious.  This might officially be the day that the Brooklyn pick exceeds Marcus smart in trade value.

How did Danny Ainge convince the Nets to take two aging players for their own future?

Because Mikhail bought the team for $350 million and wanted to create a huge buzz around the franchise with the move to Brooklyn- he didn't care about the future so much as making sure the Nets had a solid first two years.

In reality, if you remove the basketball and on court results from the picture, it was a brilliant idea.
The value of the team has almost tripled in 4 years to a billion dollars.
Pretty good return on investment.

yep. when all is said and done, money is what matters.

I don't see how renting two aging players for your immediate future adds value to the team. Looks like the move to NY and getting JayZ on board is all he needed.

pp and kg bring the fans, especially when they thought they may win a title... money.

tell me on paper they didnt look like a serious contender.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

A bruised left knee or in other words, a bruised ego. He just had a look all night of being dejected out there.

Larkin, Ellington, Bogdanovic, Karasev, Bargnani = Maybe the worst defensive 5-man unit I've seen in a while.

yeah he followed up the fluke Westbrook game by shooting 2-18.  But I'm sure his ego was fine.  Still a beast on defense.  Glad to hear the injury isn't serious.

Yeah we all got sucked in, I even watched the games but that was a big time risk he took and it didn't work.

Because to the average NBA fan, Pierce and KG were still awesome and young enough to make them a contender.
There was a huge buzz about that team. I mean on paper it looked pretty good and if they made it to the playoffs healthy they would have been pretty nice.....I mean they beat Toronto in the first round but just too much dysfunction.
paper roster:

D Williams
Joe Johnson
Pierce
KG
Lopez

AK47
Terry
Plumlee
(can't remember who else).

with J Kidd as coach
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Are you saying that he expects to shoot 33 percent because I'm sure he's gotta be pretty down on that.

We have 37 assists and we're shooting 59%.  Pretty crazy.

Still gotta bring it on Sunday, I don't expect to blow them out this easily next game.
