Pretty bad look for Russ, if you ask me, especially considering he shot 5-20 (2-10 on 3's) with 4 TOs and some horrible defense at times. No need to be bitter.

RW is right.

The only thing RW wrong tonight was throw the cheap after whistle elbow to Smart who got angry

It was more of the way he said it. "I do this. Don't get it twisted." I just think it's a bad look for him, especially when it was clear that Marcus did "do this" and contained him.

Somebody is SALTY lol.

Don't be mad, Westbrook.  Next time, Smart is gonna whoop it to your backside again.  All you did with that interview is give him more fuel.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

Westbrook isn't wrong, but if anyone is twisting anything, it's Westbrook twisting the question. Smart was better than him on all accounts tonight.

Anyways, can't really blame Westbrook. He's supposed to think he's the best in the world and not get down after a bad game. I think a bigger story would be if Russ slouched his shoulders and said "Yeah, I'm just not very good."

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

You know who else went 5-20 with 4 TOs today?  Peyton Manning.  He's lucky he didn't get benched

It should be a pretty good matchup next time they play, given that they both play with a bunch of fire.

I've always loved the passion that Westbrook plays with, and that's a big reason why I'm such a big fan of Smart. Let's hope he takes care of Harden tomorrow like he did Russ tonight.

Smart needs to learn the tricks and what he needs to work on in order to defend MVP type point guards.
This is one thing I hate about Smart playing out of position, both defensively and offensively. Don't get me wrong I like / love that he can guard 1-3 but if he is going to become our pg of the future we need to hand over the reigns at some point, make him the primary ball handler and put wing players around him that do not force him from guarding the pg because of height.

This could mean trading IT, AB, and ET. Put Smart at the point and at least 1 legit shooter, that is as tall or taller than Smart, in the back-court.

If Smart keeps having big games then I could see a lot of people backing up a big trade/s, that may make our record worse but give us plenty of room to grow.

That's fine, but there is nothing wrong with being respectful about it.  I don't think anybody in the world is expecting Westbrook to come out and say "he's a better player than me".  There's nothing wrong with him giving Smart some credit, saying that he's a talented kid and that he played a great game.

Even when he said Smart had a good game, it's almost like he was paying him out at the same time with his "I do that 82 games".  Like he was suggesting that Smart's game was just a lucky fluke.

Sure Smart won't score like this every night, but I think he's played well enough defensively since he entered this league to at least earn some respect on that end of the floor.

Then again I've never liked Westbrook as a person. Full respect for his talent, but a bit of a luvo prima donna in my books.

A credit to Curry though, I don't think he'd react in this way.

He seems like a pretty grounded guy - seems like the type who would give credit where it's just and respect the opponent.
