call me crazy but i'd want george over cousins.
also bosh would (surprisingly) probably cost the least.

you're not, George is top 10 player when healthy, and this season he is slowly regaining that form.
Yeah, I'd love to get him. He's got a ton of talent, great work ethic and would fit this team perfectly. I think he'd be a great Celtic. As much as I love Cousins' game, George doesn't have the personality questions that still exist with Demarcus.

Yup, on top of that I could argue with the current state of NBA ball. Right now we need a legit player at the 3 more than we need an upgrade at the 4/5. When I watch the C's what I see is hurting us the most is a 3 and D guy at SF. To get an All-Star at that position would put us in the top 3 in the East.

George or Cousins.

Choose George, but I'm beginning to think people seriously hate Cousins... I always said that with the NBA changing, players like Davis and Cousins being able to harness a consistent mid range or 3 pt shot would make them that much more deadlier.

If Cousins could truly ever develop a 3pt shot ranging around 32-34%, just enough to keep defenses on their toes. It enables floor spacing, and Cousins can still plant himself deep within the paint.

PER 36 Cousins would be putting up 29.2 PPG, 13.1 RPG, 2.7 APG and 1.2 BPG at the PF.

While George is clearly a dominant and budding superstar small forward, I would be hard pressed to immediately choose George over Cousins.

People should stop being so worried about being able to sell Cousins on Boston if he came... Cousins would certainly respect an organization like the Celtics, and wouldn't hesitate resigning with the team come extension time.

That being said, I believe Melo is definitely going to be traded this year if the Knicks don't make the playoffs. I don't know how long Melo would like to stay with the Knicks if they don't pan out. Porzingis looks amazing, but the problem was always whether or not his lean and skinny frame would allow him to stay healthy.

I know what you mean. I love his game but I find myself picking against him all the time. It's strictly a personality thing. I think Cousins has the talent to be the best player in the game. He could be the next Moses Malone with an even better jump shot. But this is his 6th season and we're still reading reports about his lack of maturity.

If there was a reasonable expectation that he could play hard and not cause too many problems in the locker room, I'd give up almost anything to get him to the Celtics but that just isn't the case.

The all in new big 3 trades.

A trade centered around Nets 2016 pick for George.

A trade with the Mavs pick, Sully(after he proves himself halfway through season), Zeller, ect for Cousins.

A trade with vets Lee or Johnson, JJ, Turner, 2017 Nets pick swap, 2018 Nets pick for Love.

Add in Young, Rozier, Hunter, other picks where needed.

New team
Cousins/Lee or Johnson
Love/KO/Mickey
George/Crowder
Bradley/maybe we keep Hunter
Smart/Thomas

I'm dreaming of course :P

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Paul George is never being traded.
If you're Indiana why would you trade your 25 year star who's playing better than ever?
It's not like he's a 39-30 year old guy on his decline.

Melo isn't even on this list?

These guys are clueless.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Agreed, that Melo is way more likely to be traded than George.
