I like watching the rooks play.  Yes I think BS is trying to give them time to develop to see how they get better.  But I do not think its development for next yr.  I think BS is hoping they'll develop fast and contribute THIS YR.

I think you're burying your head too much in the PER stats.  I don't think Hunter looked half bad on Weds night.  There's some real promise there.

We are not winning a championship this year.
I am OK with ALL our young guys get as many minutes as possible.

I'm fine with looking for spot minutes for both guys; they're both steadily looking more comfortable out there, especially RJ.

I wasn't fine with having both of them on the court at once at a point when the win was still up for grabs.  AB or no AB, two shaky rookies at once is a bad idea.

I don't know what type of year it is, I only know that I am being fully entertained by it.   Definitely frustrating to lose twice to Indy, but lots of interesting things to watch on this roster.

And all the while, opportunities for bettering the club come with each Nets loss, with Minny and Dallas mediocrity, and with each solid game by a Celtic asset.

I dont really understand the title of this thread.

Are you trying to say we shouldn't be in a development year?

We are banking on the development of Smart, Rozier, Hunter, Olynyk, Sullinger.

Yes , this is 100% a development year.  There is no question about it.

Yes, we should be giving our rookies playing time.. we need them to get better and their value to be boosted.

The good teams are always developing younger talent.

Brad's goal is to improve our assets, and make sure our team gets better every day. Playing Rozier and Hunter now even if they aren't the best options will help the team improve over the course of the season.

i hope so, this team is still developing. We have many players still with upside. Frankly, we're an injury or two away from being a lottery team. Getting knocked out in the first round of the playoffs every year is not intriguing to me. It's really short sighted.

Keep developing players like Mickey, RJ, Smart, Rozier, and Young. Look for a 2 for 1 or a 3 for 1 trade, keep your fingers crossed on the 2016 NBA draft, and look for free agents that are young, and fit the mold of what you're building as a team. This team still needs athletic size, and still needs consistent 3 point shooters and play makers. This team really struggles in the half court offense on many levels.

We're more unfinished as a team, than finished.
