Trade Johnson, Lopez, Jack.  Get back 1sts, prospects and give us a chance at Simmons or a top 5 pick thank you very much.

If this happens if its not in the process already,  Danny will be considered a genius for executing that KG, pp trade.

It may be wise for them to just accept a bottom 5 record this season and acquire assets so that they don't give us another top 5 pick again next season

I think they are bad enough.  I mean, they can't lose more than they have.

I hope they don't. It actually gives them a better chance to be good before we make their last pick.

On the one hand, I don't want them to do anything that will potentially hurt our future picks.

On the other hand, if they make that move soon, it will still be Billy King making a trade.  He's going to get fired eventually, so it might be nice to have him be really active before the next guy takes over.

They just can't sit still, lose games and pay Lopez, Johnson salary. Also many teams wouldnt mind getting their hands on Jack.   Thad young prob stays as he just signed a new deal

Agreed with this though it's that logic that will probably spur them to make some moves soon. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a fire sale soon, they know this year's pick is lost but they may as well try to rebuild now  in the hope that they somehow pull off a bit of a rebuild without the picks.

The good news is no matter what this year's pick should be good, either they keep strutting the current excuse for a team out every night which will lose or they trade everyone for young players and picks and will continue to lose. The latter = chances are it does help them get better so future picks could be up in the air.

That's another problem, awful contracts. The good news is Johnson's contract is expiring so they may be able to move him in a salary dump but they don't have the assets (such as picks to sweeten the deal). The Nets have literally done everything wrong the last few years... Unless they trade Lopez for pennies on the dollar (maybe a young player and pick) due to his injuries they're pretty much stuck.

Why do they need to get worse? They are either the first or second worst team in the league as stands. Any trade would just help them next year or the year after and hurt our future picks. Not to mention Lopez is probably untradable given his most recent foot scare.

Man, that would really be a blow to our pick if they somehow traded Jack.  He has been a revelation for our top 3 chances!

I hope they do blow it up.

For those worried about them becoming too good before the Celtics get the last pick out of them, don't.  When is the last time they made a good trade?
